Added reply in a thread Eli's Strategy? 5/7/2017 1:38 PM

OP here. Diesel - I didn't take as much shit as you, but I was right there with you on what was going to happen. Fucking glorious to have these "experts" eat shit on this. The ONLY way Eli had any chance was to have chaos happen and the only way chaos ... more »

Added reply in a thread a new trend? (team tactics) 5/7/2017 10:21 AM

The other thing to watch - will teams add second-tier riders based on their take out and wide-bike skills? Hire a chosen "winner" and 2 "blockers" who have clear duties that don't need to be spelled out on a pit board and let them do their thing. Claim ... more »

Added reply in a thread Race Manipulation... Fans are "cheated" 5/7/2017 6:24 AM

Huge difference: What Eli "manipulated", he "manipulated" all himself - there was no team involved. What Marvin did was done for the benefit of Dungey (The team) and that's what rubs me the wrong way. I want this sport to be about INDIVIDUALS racing ... more »

Will Tomac "bunch them up" in Vegas?? Yes. The answer is yes he will.

Added reply in a thread Las Vegas SX Bench Racing - Night Show 5/6/2017 10:42 PM

In another thread, I suggested that Eli's strategy should be to stay right with Dungey and let him pass and then pass him back and hope for a mistake. Someone else suggested that Eli bunch up the pack and hope for a Dungey issue to result from the scrum. LOT'S of people ... more »

Added reply in a thread Las Vegas SX press conference 5/5/2017 7:31 PM

So you went from "I used to be a fan of his" all the way to "Tomac is a cunt" in the space of one press conference statement that was likely a head-game comment? One of 2 things going on here: You don't know what a "fan" is, or you don't know what a

How would ride the final race when you're down by 9 points? I don't see Eli trying to take Ryan out (or getting someone else to do it) so here's what I'd do: Shadow the fuck out of Ryan the entire Main moto. Don't punt him, but just ride in front of ... more »

Added reply in a thread What's your worst MX crash? 4/12/2017 6:03 PM

My "worst" crash wasn't so bad in terms of me getting messed up but where and when it happened made it bad. I had been coming up a little short on a tabletop that was the start a long rhythm section on a private track I was riding as a guest of my brother's ... more »

Added reply in a thread Most awaited and hyped amateur of all time?? 3/25/2017 7:45 AM

So hard to tell because the nature of media has changed so much. "Hyped" in more modern times includes social media hype which is dubious at best. Back in the day, being hyped meant that the few people who paid close attention to the sport AND had some ... more »

Added reply in a thread Announcing was bad 1/22/2017 7:41 AM

Even the Social Media "expert" sounded off. Not sure what she was yammering on about but she confused her own self. Bad night for announcing all around. That being said, it's a hard job and huge respect for anyone who does it. This seemed like some kind ... more »

Where are you getting your numbers. Not that I really give a shit but those sound off. 13% isn't great, but it's better than 6%.

I work in the Energy business and the drive to renewable fuel is a lot more advanced than you might think. When we finish our current wind project, we'll be at 85% renewable generation for our company. We have a realistic goal of 100% renewable in the ... more »

Added reply in a thread Electric bikes and countering land use issues 8/20/2016 8:47 AM

The level of "Us" vs "Them" going on in this sport is pathetic. I have to think that there people like me who want to support both responsible land use and racing. In the end, simply throwing a tantrum and not engaging with people with other views will ... more »

I actually rewound the DVR and made my wife watch that flat bike-look back move. She nods and smiles when I do shit like that. I do something similar when she asks me what shoes look best for her outfit.

He does look awkward on his bike, especially compared to how he looked in SX 2 years ago. I think it's just that he grew so freakin tall so fast he's still sorting out how to move on the bike with his new body. Hope he gets it sorted out though cuz he's ... more »

Dungey and Decoster baggin on that red cross flagger got me thinking - who's flagged a local race? I raced 3 years in AMA District 22 and I was a member of the club that sponsored the Hawkeye Downs races. Whenever I wasn't racing due to bike issues or ... more »

Added reply in a thread Red Flag Video 4/2/2016 10:12 PM

Yea - you could see the flagger trying to both waive off oncoming riders and also figure out what was happening down track. My guess is that he pulled the flag shortly after Dungey went by but none of the video tonight showed that part.
