Had heard about him even before the first Terrafirma, but I didn't know what I was seeing. He came to the Kawasaki Race of Champions a bunch when he was on minis, but I still was never blown away. Finally saw him on big bikes winter of 2000 at Dade City ... more »

Added reply in a thread '03 Budds 125; Stewart Last To First 6/18/2021 11:41 AM

2003 was special. The amazing thing was how his momentum carried over into '04, when 95% of the other riders were on 250Fs. Stew stuck with the 125 and nearly had a perfect season, winning 23 out of 24 motos. The only one he lost was due to a first turn ... more »

Added reply in a thread I think Max Vohland would have won the 1st moto. 5/30/2021 10:05 AM

I don't think you misinterpreted Soldozer's comment. He expressed the same sentiment as you...with simplicity and without expletives.

Added reply in a thread MXGP riders coming to America? 4/30/2021 12:39 PM

It would be great to see some of the top MXGP stars race here for the start of the US series. Maybe in a different year, without travel restrictions and quarantines, we might see that happen. So many GP guys have had success here over there years, I ... more »

Fairly certain Jo is the first Japanese rider to win an AMA Pro Supercross race. There may have been a podium back in the early '90s in the 125 class but beyond that I don't think another Japanese rider has even podiumed in Supercross. Akira Narita came ... more »

Added reply in a thread McAdoo crash Best proof for BELL MOTO 10 4/16/2021 7:03 AM

He 100% should have been forced to use a new helmet before reentering the race. If there were any mistakes made in that whole process of assessing his condition, that was a big one. There is not way the helmet's EPS liner was not compressed (thereby ... more »

Aaron Enticknap. One of my favorites from Todd Harris the other night.

Added reply in a thread Smallest Gas Pressure Washer? 4/6/2021 7:03 AM

Get a battery op pressure washer. I've used the WORX 40V unit, which is one of the weaker options but it still gets the job done. But there are others. Ryobi now has a 1500 psi battery powered washer that should definitely be able to handle washing a bike...unless you're trying ... more »

Much of the original track is still visible from space. Exciting to see any track being revived.

Added reply in a thread Who owns JT Racing now? They've gone completely sh*t for brains with their new website and gear. 3/26/2021 7:02 AM

That's the best looking JT gear since the brand reemerged 10 or so years ago. Jerseys only, but whatever...it will appeal to the urban street-style BMX riders the brand is now targeting. It's a huge market and I wouldn't be surprised to see JT take off ... more »

Great to see women and Africans in motocross getting positive mainstream coverage. I've been following Tanya for a little while on instagram, along with the Mlimi brothers out of South Africa. Those two are legitimately fast. Josh Mlimi is very natural ... more »

Added reply in a thread James Stewart: How Many Races Did He Lead and Crashed? 3/18/2021 6:37 AM

In his 125 career, he pretty much won every race in which he didn't crash. 250/450, kind of the same up until 2009 aside from maybe half of his races against RC.

Added reply in a thread Red Bull | E-FMX Session in LAAX with Mat Rebeaud 3/17/2021 8:46 AM

Cool visuals but a lot of build up for not much pay off. Still, I really appreciate Mat sticking with the Alta. He's one of the few professional riders still showcasing the capabilities and potential of eMX bikes.

Pro Taper used to make different sizes/thicknesses of their Pillow Top grip, but it looks like they only have one now which I believe was once called the Pillow Top Lite. Tag Metals had a similar option that they called something like Diamond Top...basically ... more »

Added reply in a thread Fantic/Yamaha 2t's best the field of Factory 250 4t's in Italian Championship, New 125 2t rumored?? 3/8/2021 8:06 PM

I do enjoy watching Lapucci ride. The guy has style for days and just looks like he's having fun out there. Considering he's already had some decent MXGP-class finishes, it seems he took the Fantic ride as a way to increase his value with, perhaps, easier ... more »

Definitely Stewie-inspired. That would've been a game changer had he cleaned it...but he didn't, so all it changed was his teeth.

Added reply in a thread 2021 Daytona SX Track Map 3/5/2021 12:41 PM

With all the tunnels on the tracks this year, there've been about 5 right hand turns total this season. Only 1 real right hand turn for Daytona, otherwise it's all lefts...come on. Not many passing opportunities.

Enjoyed that. That was my first year at TransWorld and I did a round table interview with Tommy, Tyla Rattray and Christophe Pourcel as a feature in the mag before the Nationals started, discussing their GP rivalries and their thoughts on coming to America. ... more »
