Hey GuyB: Remember back in the 70's and 80's the Crash and Burn special issues that that (Dirt Bike?) magazines would put out? And one guy (Steve Casper) would have 2/3 of all the pics in the whole mag? I made the magazine...in several issues! Iowa-District 22 MX: Awesome!

I would go ano silver or even raw/clear ano. The gold wouldn't really tie in with anything I feel like. Blue could be cool if you had some blue ano bits tieing it all together, but it might be a little much too. Thats just my opinion, to each their own do whatever suits your fancy! I like the uniqueness for sure man!

Graphics were made by OMX (omxgraphics.com.) Amazing company, with great support. Seat cover was NOS found in Italy that I had a local upholstery shop customized. The upholstery shop did an awesome job (Auto & Marine Upholstery, Dumfries, VA.)

I think your truly underestimating how fast the newest 250fs are. The rpms and spread of power they deliver make it hard for a 250 2 stroke to touch. The 350s make much more power than a 250 2 stroke and make it over a wider area. Its no contest there.

Fun factor, cool factor, feel, sound, smell, simplicity, turning at will, floating over rough stuff be cause theyre 20-40lbs lighter, those are things the 2 strokes excel at however.

This. We'll never have true parity between 2T and 4T, but this is the closest IMO. No matter how fast a 250F gets, it will still be outgunned by a 250 2 stroke, hands down. A 350 though? Now we're talking.

250 2 stroke vs 350 4 stroke. If they won't let us have equal displacement, then let's see how close these 2 are.

It's simple - 250 2t vs 2504t.

When will this BS ever stop?

The funny thing is, 4t 'Champions', are usually those that will say equivalency is "unfair", whilst always going on about how great 4ts are. Yes, they are - and they certainly don't need any handicap classing to hold their own against equivalent capacity 2ts. They haven't for well over a decade, now.

250Fs are Not tiddlers - that's the province of 125s / 150s ( very, very fast tiddlers, of course) .

Still, a good video - as was the Yam one - with respect to just the riding fun aspect of it.

Mr Klinger, seems to be slimming down - wish I could achieve that! Good on him. He and Ping make a pretty good team.

Wow how cool! I was there trackside at Hangtown 1977 the day the bike debuted. Pat lead the first moto for almost the whole race, then a radiator hose came loose and his bike slowed enough in the closing laps for [I think] Danny LaPorte to take first. Pat was so smooth. I was there to race in the amateur 250A class the day before. First-turn pile up. Got up last... worked my way up to 6th, then crashed on a jump landing... ended up 12th if I recall. Or was it worked my way up to 12th and ended up 24th? I honestly don't remember. But what a weekend, and I had no idea at the time just how cool that whole era was. Sure would love to re-live it all...
