Punt the protein. Best post workout drink is chocolate milk. Ask any pro endurance athlete. Carb load before. Use an electrolyte drink post race if it is hot or you feel dehydrated. Agree with Deman684. Ryno Power is just a sticker on the container. ... more »

Wow. Reese Firestone. I haven't heard that name in years. He used to be all over D6 back in the day. Running around in his Pro Action van. He did a good job but I never understood his valving basis. He would use the same valving stack for everyone. Novice ... more »

The Aprilia 125 GP bikes made between 50-60HP. They were last raced in 2011. The Honda RS125 made 44HP out of the crate.

The concept of the Achates Engine is pretty amazing. Some new technology that hopefully breaks through to the masses.

125cc road race engines. They also have a 1000rpm wide powerband. Wide open or not at all.

Yes, it is worth doing. I learned how to port and polish from the late John Carr. He did allot of the work for Eyvind Boyesen. He showed me that matching the cases and cases to cylinder is just part of the process of getting a great flowing motor. Then ... more »

I'm not from SoCal but I do all my own work and my friend's suspension needs. I'm an ME so I was always curious about it and took the time to learn. Yes, suspension companies are expensive. Some have fantastic products that are worth the money. But most ... more »

Yeah, I agree. The M2M is OK, but enough of the girl power crap. And no, we are not holding back women or minorities for that fact. That is a political ploy to downplay the importance of the working white male in society. It all goes out the window when ... more »

Mr. Cepress. Been a long time. Are we putting the drumsticks down and blowing the dust off the green bike? Mahovich has returned to the fold and started riding again. We do the off-road thing now. MX is dead around here. Back to the thread. I worked ... more »

Added reply in a thread What riders story would make the best Blockbuster film? 1/18/2019 7:16 AM

David Bailey or Doug Henry. Their stories have substance and diversity. A McGrath, RC, Reed, etc... story has no substance. Go win, win, win is boring. Jason Lawrence??? That would be like watching Cheech & Chong.

To add to your list. 8. Loretta Lynn's has destroyed amateur racing. We have professional novice riders now that have their parents home school them so they can ride 24/7. They can't read or write but they can ride a dirtbike. A new racer lines up for ... more »

Very good points. The bike is only a piece of the total 'race' pie. Gear is very expensive and getting more expensive exponentially. Is it making the sport more enjoyable? Don't know the consensus. That would make a good poll. All I know is that my 17 ... more »

Cost is an issue, but is relative. Do I like dishing out 10K for a new dirtbike? Not really. But in the grand scheme of things, 10K is a drop in the bucket. Guys piss and moan about the bike costs but head down to the local car dealer and drop $65k on ... more »

Try doing something on the line of the Boyesen Link. Do some research on it. Nothing has been touched on that for 20 years. I did something like that when I was at Temple Univ. back in the 80's. Designed a rear suspension system that eliminated the chain ... more »
