Reply to Broken shock spring? 6/16/2021 12:57 AM

When my spring broke, it had similar hours to yours looking at the wear. So yes it happens. It is steel, and under stress it becomes weaker with time.

It is extra due to that you don't drag on excessive acid lactose for the muscles before you reach max hr. So doing max hr test of the bike, means you have to have a setup that don't drain your muscles before you reach max hr. Running up a to step hill ... more »

Every other day for training works good if you are a regular person. You can aim at getting 15-20k steps instead of the days that you don't train. Training days you should still have 10k steps. If you ride in the weekends, then you have tue+thu to train ... more »

On a wider base you can use it, but for a individual it is completely useless. Can be 30-40 beats off easily if you are high or low max heart rate person. For me it is 20 beats off and that is a complete zone. So useless for training.

You need to do a max heart rate test, otherwise you are completely in the dark. For MX, you need training in zone 2 and 4 mainly. Zone 3 you can completely skip. Zone 5 you get on the bike. If you are doing off season training you could do a 4x4min interval ... more »

Reply to 4.8 Rear Spring for 155lbs rider too much??? 4/30/2021 12:00 PM

Your dag tells you all you need to know, you are way off. 155=42nm 175=45nm 190-200=50nm Makes a difference if you are tall, go stiffer side. Not more than 7mm preload in my opinion. 36-40 static 102-105.

Reply to New bike tomorrow.. 350 or 450 4/29/2021 11:58 PM

It depends on your riding style. I can't ride 350, need to rev it way to much. Hate the 350s. 350 for me, is like a 2-stroke with being most beneficial if you take it to the 13k instead of 8-9k 450.

Should not happen. Indicator of to little fuel goes through. Could be crack in fuel line or close related inside tank. Test swap the gas tank with someone and see if it continues.

Soft track with traction, Plessinger long legs. That's what made the difference. If you could not see that during the race, something is wrong 😄 Plessinger will be back around 7-10 next week and the rest of the season.

Damn it, discontinued? My favorite too on hard/intermediate sand tracks!

Reply to Minimal Changes to Orlando 2 Track Design Due To Weather 2/18/2021 2:41 PM

You really think it was due to not getting the equipment dirty, they kept the same design? Jesus. Track and dirt would have been destroyed beyond repair, if they brought machines out that mix in the fallen water into the dirt.

Reply to Fork spring preload 2/17/2021 1:18 AM

420 was max on old Cone Valve fork. New Xact Pro 440 is max. So go to 420 and go to 10 on comp. Whats your rebound at? Should be around 16. If bike is unbalanced and low in front, add 2-3 clicks of preload. Then you can fine tune last with with comp ... more »

Reply to Fork spring preload 2/16/2021 1:03 PM

You can run 1-4 clicks of preload. Can also add oil with a syringe through bleed holes if you use all the stroke right now. Oil and preload is pretty good for tuning when you are as close as it sounds. I would back out to 10-12 click on comp, then add ... more »

Reply to SX Rebound Settings 2/16/2021 12:34 PM

Friend of mine typically just turn the compression pretty much all the way in (so you get kind of a hydraulic stop) when he goes between MX and SX using MX suspension. Rebound is left as is.

Reply to SX Rebound Settings 2/16/2021 12:32 PM

Benefit with Trax, is that you can run a pretty slow rebound since you dont have to valve/adjust rebound for scenarios where wheel is of the ground and needs to get back quickly. You automatically have a very fast rebound on those items so you can have ... more »

Reply to SX Rebound Settings 2/16/2021 12:04 PM

Since they turn of the old Trax feature, i think rebound is pretty normal. Adapted to spring rate. Might be slower rebound since they run stiffer springs.

Reply to Moto Van Build - Roof vent the cargo area? 2/2/2021 11:55 AM

You need it also to get rid of moisture. Air intake at the side of the van, behind wheels, and a solar powered fan across the space at the roof creates drag.
