The 80s called, they want their coaching advise back 😄

Easy. Takes 2min for us (or a national pro rider) to reach 95-98% of max HR and then we stay there for 20-35min depending on level and class. Any trainer knows what that means.

Wheel Still on the ground, but suspension has started to rebound several inches compared to complete bottom out. So it absolutely has a vital part. If you have been testing rear shock suspension and going back and fwd between spring rates is becomes

Normally it starts to rebound when you take weight of rear, which you do just before the rear wheel leave the ground, not to loop out on short jumps with little air time. Only time I hold the rear end compressed all through the jump face is when I need ... more »

You are considering the shock to be the only thing that is absorbing the energy going into a jump face/seat bouncing, it is not. The whole bike including your body acts as a catapult moving mass from rear of bike and forward ones in the air. Normal jumping, ... more »

He does, a micro second later just before or at the same time the shock start to rebound. If he don't, he is going to the moon.

Added reply in a thread Seat bounce 6/12/2020 6:49 AM

It is not the same thing. You have several Gs in force that you experience when you go into a jump face, not so much on flat ground. It is a combination of loading the suspension with body position and throttle, as well as taking weight of the seat just ... more »

Jesus, how the fuck can anyone that has ever been on a mx track more than 2 laps says there is no such thing as seat bouncing? The last things that happens when you leave the jump face is that the shock rebounds faster then normal since you also move ... more »

Added reply in a thread Wrong tire choice of Ken Roczen in Salt Lake City 6/9/2020 10:20 AM

It is not the position that is of interest, it is time after Webb and tomac. Even with a night off, Ken is not more than 10-20sec after them in normal condition. Not even Andersson should beat Ken on a mental night off. a night off means he just can't ... more »

Added reply in a thread Wrong tire choice of Ken Roczen in Salt Lake City 6/9/2020 4:53 AM

There is a difference in being a bit off, and being lapped, twice. One thing was if Ken was getting beat by 3-10sec, then you can discuss having a bad night (or someone else a rally good one), and going back to next race hoping to improve but really ... more »

I empty it, ones every week but I guess that depends on of you are at CA or FL 😄

Added reply in a thread Dehumidifier in garage? 5/9/2020 1:49 PM

It is a must. Compressor air to remove water + dehumidifier = linkage, steering, wheel bearings get twice the life time at least.

1 click hsc.

Added reply in a thread Wheelbase increase - suspension setup 5/9/2020 11:32 AM

Because rider sag is so difficult to get consistent measures, specially in the 1-2mm range. Standing on the pegs is easier if you got a motoslacker digital scale. But stick with static, does the job.

Added reply in a thread Wheelbase increase - suspension setup 5/9/2020 8:44 AM

Check static sag firstly, should be same as before but my guess its at least 1mm more now. Start with that, and then possibly one click stiffer low speed comp and maybe 1/5 more high speed comp. You also altered the weight to be more front loaded now ... more »

Added reply in a thread ohlins cartridge insert for WP AER 48 on KTM 450sxf 5/5/2020 2:17 PM

I prefer the kit in WP tubes. At least 2014-2015 the ohlins tubes was to flexy and made the bike feel long and diffuse feedback. But heard riders experience the same this year. Feels like ohlins tubes are designed for aluminum chassis

Place it, and cylinder, on a flat surface lika a mirror or piece of glass, or polished ceramic tile to see if you possibly twister it.
