Added reply in a thread WP Suspension, which route to go? 1/2/2021 4:45 AM

I would first test the 2021 sxf 450 fork that has specifically addressed the issues you talk about. My second goto would be spring cartridges from KYB or above mentioned.

Where did you get that from? Must be old info. WP springs are stepped 3nm. Just look into the user manual of any SXF or FC. In the trax kit there is the same wp springs as used in OEM shock.

Any WP spring from at least 2013 ktm fits, as long as it is the right stiffness for your weight. 2016+ has the right weight category. Length should be 260-250mm

180,185lbs max. If you are 5 "10" or above you move a lot of weight back also so more sensitive.

i run 50nm on my 200lbs (without gear) on the 2020 chassis. That is 40/105mm with 6-7mm preload. With your 215, you need 50 or 51 even.

Go in a few clicks or 0.5-0.75 turn hsc with 105 såg then. If it becomes to stiff, go out 2-4 clicks on lsc instead.

Added reply in a thread Shock rebound help 11/7/2020 1:32 PM

Kicking is more likely lack of high-speed compression. Not enough hsc will make it drive through the stroke to fast and want to rebound before you leave the jump face. Go back to stock settings, and add some hsc instead. For the suzuki I'm not sure either ... more »

The above is how you trained in the 80 and parts of 90s. Complete waste of time today. You will be in zone 3 and zone 4 most of the time, and way to short intervals compared to what you should be. Does it make a difference for someone that is completely ... more »

It is a waste of time, if it can be done better. You can spend 4 times a week doing 20-30 reps exercises and get no where after 6 months. You can get it to a level where it saves the first minutes in a moto, but not the last 10-20min. Lot of genetics ... more »

Not to sustain a 20min race. It will help with strength, but the time it will take to build up stamina by increase of reps is to long to make an impact in moto. Waste of time. Triathlon guys realized the lack of impact from high rep strength training ... more »

You need 1 session in the gym per week at high weight, low reps. Then 2-3 long bicycle, rowing and walking sessions in low heart rate zone (zone 2 max -5-10bpm). 120min is great, 90min ok. Forget about building stamina in legs using strength/weight training, ... more »

Added reply in a thread WP A kit vs KYB spring conversion for AER? 9/22/2020 12:32 PM

TT valved mine, or sent me the specs rather. They where way of on preload and oil level. 5.0nm 355 oil and 9mm preload for my sxf 450 2018 and 2019 was way to much with 48nm rear (trax and WP OEM). 5.0 300ml 5mm preload gives good balance.
