Hmm, very interesting. I have armpump issues now, usually do level 4 on my longer sessions and 6 on sprints. Gina try go to 10 instead and see if it helps. Thanks for the advise!

Always used wiseco, last 7 sxf 450. Never a problem, done I think 80h on them and they always looked ok. Hard to judge a piston by visual inspection only though. Measurements was always in spec.

The interesting is when you was in what zone. If you get 6min in zone 4 and 2 min on the way there it is good. You want to avoid zone 3 since it is considered no man's land.

If you buy a strap with Bluetooth (wahoo, or anyone will do), you can run a mobile app like Pulsometer RR to display the pulse in front of you large so it gets easier to keep track while on the machine. Don't need a watch for that. But strap can be connected ... more »

Make the intervals 6-8min and aim to be most of the time in zone 4 (80-85% of max pulse). That will give you threshold training. 3-4min rest time (50% of interval). Takes about 2min to reach the right zone and you want to stay there a bit. You know your ... more »

Same for me, without deadlifts and some other core strength my back gives up after 4-6 weeks. As long as i stay away from side to side movements in upper body i can now pretty much do anything.

I have broken discs in my neck and back (L5-S1). You need to focus on keeping your back and upper body straight. A bit like when sitting you always tend to crunch your back but when you realize it you sit more up straight. Same with rowing, remind yourself ... more »

Agree here, with the add-on of if you are doing only one session a week at the gym for strength, it should be 3-5 reps (with proper warm and scale up). You do so much stamina on bike and gym cardio, you don't need more of that (high rep). Triathlon guys ... more »

That is just so against, science. You have proper gains already after a 10sec x 5-10 times rush. Interval sessions should be done in 45min, threshold in an hour. Only training that gains from 60min+ is zone 2.

Either you do zone 2 HR, zone 4 or 5. Since you ride dirt bikes, you can skip zone 4 and 5 during season. Zone 2 minus 5-10 heart beats is the level to maintain. Lower resistance to 3-4 to maintain low heart rate. Zone 2 minimum 60min, 90min good, 120 ... more »
