This sport and motorcycle sport in general- Road racing especially can be so damn brutal. Had a conversation with my sister today- both of us said if we had kids we wouldn't want them to do it even though most of my family did for years and loved it. ... more »

Those riders look pretty fast! Brave of you to race the old girl against them, did you beat some of them? Hope so! Whats a GERITOL? Tuning company or something?

My God Jeffro- that is terrible. Thats what my initial question was, how does this stuff work and how the heck could he claim anything other than getting prosecuted himself? You hear stories and I am never quite sure because I am never quite sure where ... more »

Thanks for reply- Glad to hear that the Law would be on the owners side- if someone is entering your property or premises. Yes, on the street is a different story because the dog should be under the owners responsible control and not running loose causing ... more »

Never knew that about the dog- but in a way doesn't surprise me. How does that situation work exactly? Aren't you allowed to leave a dog on your own premises? Surely the thief should be the one getting sued/prosecuted? The dog is the owners property ... more »

Me too thought it may been even worse- anyway Weston always was a handsome fellow and sure he will still be. The body is an amazing healer as well as the doctors skill. I got a feeling that Weston will come back swinging and give the other fine racers ... more »

Nice- and nice bike family. What's that old sayin now? "You only miss it when its gone ..." Great you got her back! So wish I hadn't sold quite a few bikes, as I bet loads do.

Maybe worth saving rather than cutting? Couldn't it be repaired even if the otherside is a mess, given the skill of some people? Must be quite rare and the rest of it doesn't look that bad really.

Thats probably true also- forgot about Tortelli. He too would beat Everts much the same as Albee did, another of the few riders to do so.

Added reply in a thread Would Albertyne have done better on a different brand? 11/28/2018 8:06 PM

Yea- he was so quick when he was on it, which was most of the time. Albee and Pichon were the only people I really remember that could beat Everts regular in the GP's and maybe also Donny Schmit in the early years.

He was crazy quick on that Jan De Groot Honda in 93 nobody could get too near him. Beast of a rider really. Seem to think that when Everts went to Kawi that too was Jan De Groot? Must have been a good tuner maybe. Think I heard he passed away but maybe ... more »

Yea- I remember that- think it happened quite abit like that for him in SX, he looked abit out of control at times.

Added reply in a thread Would Albertyne have done better on a different brand? 11/28/2018 10:52 AM

edit--- My post above not totally correct .... Seems like though when he won the GP's in 93 on a Honda he beat Everts easy but in 94 on the Zook it was alot closer- funny cos when he won easy on the Honda Everts was on the Zook! Then Alby got on a Zook ... more »

Yes agreed about SX- when he won the GP's back in the day he spanked Everts quite regular- Alby was Suzuki then also-- was surprised he didn't do better in US. Maybe his US bike wasn't as good as the Zook he had in GP's. Always surprised me as he was ... more »
