Maybe so, I thought A-Mart actually looked really good at Southwick when he had to come through the pack, was it in both races? Think his end result maybe didn't look quite as impressive as his riding actually was. This 250 class seems to have become ... more »

Certainly impressive the way he has come in- you got to have him down as a future contender, looks a great rider and comes across as a nice kid also the way he speaks.

Added reply in a thread Is J-Mart too slow getting up? 7/10/2016 2:10 PM

Not sure if generally J-Mart is always slow to get up from get offs other than this one? In this instance though, wasn't that crash on quite a severe incline and he was sort of at quite a disadvantage to haul himself up and the bike- 'gravity was sort ... more »

Credit to Shane for not rolling over though, despite that hideous crash. A-Mart seemed to be making a serious challenge for the position yet Shane was not having it one bit! He held that throttle absolutely screwed into that corner to hold onto the position- ... more »

Yes- they do seem crazy high (but totally believeable) and also the heart rate figures to me are even more astonishing. Its odd, I did 10,000m on a Concept Rower in 45mins odd and compared it to when I raced, thought the rower actually killed me alot ... more »

Seems like alot of people are around the 1000 plus even per hour mark thereabouts- presume they are probably also fairly good riders. Saw using Concept rowing machines/ gym equipment people were sort of hitting quite high rates but seems MX riders are ... more »

Any news on the seriousness of the injury? Some riders who do collarbones can be back in a fortnight it seems where as if more complicated could take alot longer? Pity, remember the other injury he got right before he was going to come over to the US, ... more »

Only slight giveaway is the mean looking exhaust justabout showing through the cover- the 'ol' guy with the mask that comes with it' must have been an ex racer who just can't let it die so he made this contraption to go get his weekly shopping on. .... ... more »

Haha- that is nuts. Loving the 'old masked man that comes with it' -wtf?! presume this means its just the mask and not actually the old guy himself. Imagine tearing up the freeway at about 70mph doing a wheelie dressed in the old man mask and the looks ... more »

I cringed when Shane crashed, that was one huge and nasty hit. Was surprised and also very very relived when they said he got up! (and showed him on the medical scoot). Best wishes to Shane also on his recovery and he must be one tough cooky for sure ... more »

Not sure of the actual calorific burning amounts but would imagine MX to be a much much higher rate than horse riding! In the broadcast Langston did actually mention that MX riders were deemed to be the fittest all round athletes of ALL SPORTS. That ... more »

Haha!! - yea!! Its nuts all this AMA/ GP stuff- agreed. Actually you maybe right bout Pourcel- thought it was 2006 but may well be later.

Added reply in a thread European riders dominating 3 of the 4 major classes 7/8/2016 1:06 PM

Wasn't it Phoenix 2006? Thats a decade thereabouts innit?

Added reply in a thread European riders dominating 3 of the 4 major classes 7/8/2016 1:01 PM

Don't really wanna 'stir the pot' here (when it already seems to have been stirred quite enough already!) but wasn't it a decade ago that Pourcel did win his first race when he went to US?! So it sort of has been decades?! Well a decade anyway.

Yup- absolutely- both series are great.... what even is the purpose of comparing them, setting them off against each other?! Its dumb to do this when you could be enjoying them for what they are rather than making it some sort of mad competition!
