Added reply in a thread High pressure radiator caps 9/11/2016 8:32 AM

Just wondering- when you speak of the pressure the caps rated at, i.e 1.4, 1.6, 2 bar or whatever, what is that rating exactly? Does that mean it will leak/ discharge when it goes over those figures? Other ideas, not sure how you could implement them:- ... more »

Yes- Aren't the frames treated post welding by water treatment to cool the weld and in the cooling process the weld gains strength and integrety? I thought I read about this somewhere but do not know a great deal about alloy welding. Is it called Water ... more »

Incredible thread and build- sort of amazed how clever people can create/ make parts like this, its pretty fascinating to behold, not knowing very much about machining and stuff. It may have got a beat up with the rope incident but it must be in perfect ... more »

That is one pretty looking bike and looks really well done. Surprised you don't see a few more of the KTM/500 2T conversions opposed to the AF Japanese framed ones. I would pick a steely framed conversion over an AF, if I was looking to buy. Sort of ... more »

Added reply in a thread Webb!!!!!! 9/4/2016 8:55 AM

Didn't Webb really switch his lines up quite abit for the 2nd? He seemed to be using alot of fast outside lines, which may have been a result of coming through the pack. Yea- he was the fastest in that 2nd moto and thats what won it for him- was close ... more »

Yea- not sure anyone 'owned it' exactly- damn close and good racing really- great to watch. Credit to Forkner as much as those two also- younger and seemed as fast at times. He doesn't seem to really fade much either, which you may expect being a younger ... more »

Haha- or if you don't want to do that, then just pop the spark plug out and pop the little screw down the hole, it will sort of "bed in" somehow when the engine runs and then the screw will be back in the engine where it probably belongs!

That holeshot he did was fantastic. He sort of was on the outside and even slightly behind possibly but he held it pinned and went by about 2 or 3 of them right on the corner, it was close but he got it! Great way to conclude things and pity the bike ... more »

Just wondering, has any 'airbag system' ever been used/ tested in/ for MX? Think the Moto GP guys use them? Sort of seems to make sense an air pressure hopefully cushioning the blow/ hit somewhat- however hard or small?

Added reply in a thread Jake Wiemer 8/30/2016 11:56 AM

Yea- absolutely- think Jake can be/ should be at least a top 5 guy. Think he maybe is one of the most underated riders out there. Surprised things haven't come good for him already but as we say, he hasn't had the best of luck really. Hoping that can ... more »
