I got a flat one night at a practice track. Realized the tube I thought I had, I gave to someone at the track. No big deal, jetted over to a shop that was still open. While I was there, i told the service writer to go ahead and quote me for a tube change. ... more »

That’s a tough one. Idle time heats the oil and makes the turbos get sludgy, and then this passes through the solenoids and causes a clog. The truth is the vct solenoid ford uses is junk. Run it like ya stole it and use the turbos hard to keep it clean. ... more »

The rear brakes cost roughly $500 to replace and go quickly. Another thing to keep an eye out for is the twin turbo 6 cylinder eco boost. The VCT plugs get clogged thanks to the turbos and this throws the timing out of whack. It’s a costly repair if ... more »

Unfortunately you are incorrect. Sponsors, as well as teams look for SX skills over MX for exposure. I’m a big fan of J-Mart and if he has a chance with Gas Gas I would jump on it like Elizabeth Hurley.

Penrite is pending on a legit full season. Specifically with the Aussie series(plural) pulling the plug on the year. Finding the duckits to afford Brayton(sx only) and possibly another 450 rider.

One team, two rigs.

Added reply in a thread Silly Season... 9/13/2020 8:41 PM

Yamaha just bought a new trailer that is badass. I would assume two rigs with 450’s under one of them alone.

Not to mention he is a good test rider. Getting top tier pros to test the bike examples( RV, Canard, Tedesco) helps tremendously. What do you think canard is doing right now? Riding the new 21 Honda and getting good base settings as well as picking correct ... more »

How about we take Jmarts word and other top pros word in this eh? A few of those guys have actually ridden the Yamaha vs the bike they ride currently. Despite what others think. The Yamaha isn’t an mini 450 at the pro level. The mid and top end power ... more »

For the life of me I will never understand McCarty’s decisions on being so stubborn. Here’s to hoping the new management communicates with Japan and Star is able to right the ship. Yamaha is a great brand and I hope they become a real powerhouse race ... more »

Or you can buy the Yamaha and use the WiFi tuner and tune it to your liking. As you get better and want more power it takes 30 seconds to change it again.

Your putting yourself out in the open for critics. You aren’t exactly being consistent with your answers. Lol

Added reply in a thread Barcia staying with Yamaha, whats this refusal thing! 9/10/2020 4:57 PM

Barcia staying at Yamaha is a smart move. He knows the bike, RV is helping with testing now as well as Ross(Enzo), and Sergio will have the help he needs with the chassis. Big changes, all really positive.

Similar to 125’s every OEM can make a bike fast. But not every manufacturer can make a bike fast that has usable power and a wide range of it.

Stock doesn’t mean a thing. Substitute Suzuki and JGR. Alex hit the leap. My point is that Yamaha has a great design. They could easily bump stock HP if they wanted to for production. Hell, if you put the twin air power flow kit on it’s worth 1.2 HP ... more »

I honestly would rather ride the JGR rather than the Geico Honda.
