Goldentyre for long tire life. Dunlop for performance. Bridgestone in the middle.

2019 to 2021? Looks like, by the offset brackets, but it's a bit hard to tell. I'm looking for a 2016-2018 btw.

Added reply in a thread 2018 KTM 250SXF Clutch Sticking 4/21/2021 9:24 AM

When I had a 2017 Husqvarna FC250 with a leaking clutch master cylinder, that thing was pretty awful at the cold shift to first gear. As soon as I installed and bled a brembo master, it was 100% better. I'd say most of these issues are due to the clutch ... more »

How old are you? Are you having pain in both wrists? Do you have a history of injury or just 'getting old'? Magnesium and Tumeric are supposed to help with joint and related arthritis pain. As Crash said, the Flex are too high for me, and I don't like ... more »

Hmm, 2010 ear? Are you sure they are Cone Valves and not SXS?

Added reply in a thread KTM 250f no oil to cam 4/1/2021 8:54 AM

Likely your oil pump idler gear should be replaced with the updated part number. The new gear is of a different/stiffer type of plastic. I think KTM/Husqvarna updated the part number in 2019 or 2020.

As long as it's a tight fit. I know Primary Drive has larger pins than most. Not sure about FP.

Can anyone tell me the difference between 4-stroke race packing and the repacking pillow? I race, but I also hate repacking mufflers because of the fibers so I want something that's going to last at least 50hrs. If anyone has some alternative non-irritating ... more »

Added reply in a thread Shock body - anyone recoat internal? 3/22/2021 4:29 PM

Looks like Kreft makes the WP body. I'm not aware of any aftermarket body that's available for a YZ250F. It looks like SDI offers Kashima of your OEM body. https://www.kreftmoto.com/new-products-1/kreft-moto-premium-shock-body https://www.suspensiondirect.com/shop/kashrcu ... more »

TCS Powersports/Todd Davis. Former right hand man to Paul Thede @ Racetech. Excellent tuner. They might have a Kashima body for the yZ250F. I'm not affiliated with Todd, but I've ridden some of his WP stuff and it was excellent.

Does anyone have a suggestion for how and when an FMF 4.1 muffler should be repacked? FYI, I hate repacking silencers/mufflers but I just got into a 6D and my pipe is annoyingly loud! Probably easier to buy a new helmet, lol.

The body on a WP shock is something that can be replaced rather than repaired. TCS has a very affordable Kashima coated new body for WP shocks. That's what I'm putting on mine at hte next service.

Added reply in a thread 2018 KTM 250SXF Reliability? 3/22/2021 10:09 AM

Yes, KTMs are very reliable compared to what's written in the owners manual or compared to other brands. A lot of that can be thrown off by poor maintenance or too many hours. Most people should be overwhelmingly happy with 75 hours before engine work ... more »

I'd want $350 shipped with the front axle. They are about $100 for me to ship. Otherwise, I could sell them locally (SoCal)

Are you talking about the earth strap? Those go bad, but can be cleaned up. As Paul says, seems like an incorrect diagnosis to me, unless you are from the tropics.

The 2005 and 2006 YZ forks were a similar upper clamp diameter, I think. The newer 2007+ models went to a smaller clamping diameter. I have some of the older 2006-size forks that will fit your clamps.
