That's probably right. I just know that when I did the interview with Kreft about my forks and told them I had a 16', they said "good, that's the frame to have...the newer ones are too stiff for most people". That was in 19', so they must have been referring ... more »

Frame got stiffer in 17'. Some say 16' was the best frame for most of us, except that the 16 fork is garbage. But...for the money saved by going back to 16', you can do a KYB or Kreft conversion and have nicer suspension than the newest KTM stuff. Just ... more »

I have a KTM, but I specifically want the Yamaha for him as it has a bit more bottom end and a better suspension package. Just feel it's a better fit for his skill level.

My Son, not quite 14, has outgrown his 85 before he even really learned how to ride it. No way I'd put him on a 250F, but new 125's are scare if not impossible to find right now, and the used market is littered with 10 year old, $4,000 project bikes. ... more »

I find the throttle to be a bit too snatchy in the tight stuff...the on/off throttle transition is abrupt and it gets old quick. Mine is a 16' with the 2 switchable maps and I don't see much difference with the mellow map. The newer ones with more mapping ... more »

RC's way cooler than I thought. I've always loved watching him race, and I caught 5 races in 2007 just because of his retirement tour (including MXoN), but off the bike he's always come off a little awkward and borderline abrasive to me. This podcast ... more »
