If you are not MX racing, these steps may, or may not, apply to you. Most important, no matter which way you clean (machine vs hand), is to clean your scooter as soon as you come off the track. If you do not clean at the track you are just grinding in ... more »

You are correct "Goofy". The color is the main reason I chose a TC over a SX. So far the frame is holding up excellent. Seems to be powder coated. Then again, I only have a tad over three hours on mine. (health issues).

I went and I did have fun. 48 motos total, made for a long day, but I was home at 6 pm. I was 3rd moto, +60. Perfect conditions except for the frost in the am. Sunshine all day, slight breeze. No need for an EZ up. For those who did not go, ya missed ... more »

I remember a time when I put used gas, as well as oil changes, car included, down a groundhog hole. I bet that hole saw 200 gallons. Of course I do not do that now...

1. Clean with gasoline. 2. Clean with Dawn. 3. Air dry over night. 4. Belray or Twin air oil. 5. Grease lips & where bolt goes through. Been doing it this way for 40 years. Works for me, and my machines have not complained yet.

Added reply in a thread VP T2...can you add oil to make it 32:1? 7/28/2020 3:01 PM

You are correct, 50:1 is a leaner mixture than 32:1. No argument there. As far as what the engine sees, 32:1 is the leaner of the two.

I agree with the above post. With one exception... After helmet disassembly, and before any sanding takes place, thoroughly de-grease the helmet with an automotive paint de-greasing solution. If you don't, you are just sanding contaminants into your ... more »

I have a set of those CR blue booties. I dont think they would clean up though. Food for thought!

Added reply in a thread 1984 RM250 Build Wu Tang Virus Edition 6/1/2020 6:51 PM

Deep down I knew I wasn't "that guy"! Although I admit I do have a flair for odd colored things. Case in point, my 83 CR250 has a white seat cover. I once built a 79 CR250 that was white with a black engine. Looked pretty bitchin. Fred Guidi has it now.
