That's what I was thinking. He won't say because he can't say yet.
It's hard to justify paying $30/40 per month for a service when I only need it for 12 Saturdays per year. I hope a new option is available next year.
Who actually chooses the US team manager? Is it the AMA or some other industry group? Does the chosen manager then have the authority to pick the riders (with the teams permission?) I've always wondered how this process unfolded. For the record, I have ... more »

I think most of us will. Congrats on the new gig!

Let's say you show up to the office tomorrow morning and find out a new guy has been hired. I bet you would walk right up to him and say to his face, "I guess we hire anyone who applies." You would say that to his face, right? Yeah, I didn't think so, ... more »
Kroc in the title. Lol I read the results three times looking for Ken Roczen.
RV rightfully took some time off in retirement and slowed down a bit. Good for him - he earned it! So did RC, James, Windham, etc. That's the normal progression of things. But for a former elite rider to still have the fire in the belly to compete after ... more »
I think that it's easy for us, in hindsight, to see the reasons why he can still perform at the top level. He didn't let himself go in retirement and he is still young enough to physically do the job. But that's exactly what makes this comeback an outlier. ... more »
I think George Foreman spent like 10 years in retirement before he re-entered the boxing ring. He ended up winning the world heavyweight title a few years later. Man, it would be historic for the sport if Dungey pulled off something like that.
Yes, but they are already winning the 250 class on 250s, though. Why give them more of an advantage?

Eli just hinted that he is interested. In Matthes' post-race interviews, Eli said he was chatting with Cairoli after the race and said that maybe he'll get to see Tony again at the des Nations. It's not empirical proof, but it is a nice little hint that ... more »
I just don't think this one would be close. The only two post-retirement rides I remember from RV were when he got beat by Josh Varize in a 125 race, and a lackluster performance at the MEC. RV is an all-time badass, but he let himself go in retirement ... more »

Wasn't it stated somewhere when they announced that Hunter signed a two-year extension that Jett would move to the 450s for outdoors in 2023? If so, then they only have to race each other this season, assuming that they will be on different coasts for ... more »
LOL. I'll ease up off his nuts now. But seriously, the dude is badass on a dirt bike. How can a race fan not root for him?
I know he used to get shit on in here because Villipoto had his number, or because Tomac or Roczen could show up on some Saturdays with a little more pace, but this comeback is proving that Dungey has something that no other elite rider has ever been ... more »

Still. Ryan Motherfuckin Dungey
I think Jett is going to take his time and pass his brother cleanly.
Ryan Motherfuckin Dungey!
All three are legends of the sport and I'm not going to rank them on their talent in the booth, but I always tend to root for Emig to have a great show. The man overcame a speech impediment to become a professional broadcast announcer. That is badass ... more »
