Added reply in a thread Let’s talk... sponsorship 12/3/2019 7:30 AM

Most of the time...with shipping factored in...I can get the same stuff from Rocky Mountain for the same-or cheaper- than using my “sponsorship”. Unless I buy a lot of product. I got a big discount from Scott through hook it...if I bought 4 or more goggles ... more »

When it rains in the desert it isn’t rock hard....it becomes a perfect traction. There is nothing like wet desert single track or making turn tracks in a wet desert. It’s the best thing ever. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=erB4G4rONvo

Added reply in a thread recluse auto clutch 11/28/2019 8:49 PM

Buy one...break it in correctly...never touch it again. Use it like a normal clutch....many guys get on my bike and don’t even know a rekluse is in it. Even A class guys. It’s an almost necessity for an MX 450 off road. And really makes that bike fun ... more »

Added reply in a thread Other than suspension.. What are the best upgrades or purchases for a 450? 11/27/2019 8:30 AM

Fresh Tires, as needed, and as many good riding schools as you can afford. Those riding schools will get you more speed, better lap times and make the bike work for you more than any mod you could ever make (unless one is already an A AA/Pro rider of ... more »

And the red plates usually designate a pro rider at that.

Added reply in a thread What's everyone's preferred grips? 11/21/2019 2:00 PM

Rocky Mountain. I haven’t bought them in over a year (been on Scott’s since then) maybe they don’t sell them any more?

Added reply in a thread Another yz125x thread 11/21/2019 12:55 PM

I've never ridden one...but I can't imagine any 125 would be good in slow, technical situations where traction is at a premium....(basically all the areas a 300 shines). It would be an absolute blast in faster, more "flowy" single/double track though.

Generally I don't care what grips are on the bike, they're grips, no need to over think it...it doesn't really matter. I generally buy based on durability...and for durability purposes: Renthal Kevlar full waffle or Scott full waffle. I've had great ... more »

The YZ 125's and 250's at those price points would be the best selling dirt bike of all time.

Lets face it...the target demographic of this sport isn't lower income families or teenagers paying their own way. The target demographic is middle class and up.

Maybe you're right...there's a reason I'm not a CEO, so the chances are slim I'm going to have the answer.

Until they add all the junk fees and its $6K again before tax and license. But even so....are they selling finally selling them? I'd imagine they are.

I think $4999 is a major mental milestone for a first time buyer. That bike, for under $5K sells.

The WR and CRFx bikes aren’t competition bikes (the Yamaha FX and the Honda RX are competition bikes)...it takes a ton of work to make the WR and X’s race ready for anyone above B level. The issue is that they are too expensive. But I agree with what ... more »

Do the WR (WR250/450) and CRFx (CR250/450x) lines fit the bill of being between the Flexomatics and the full blow race bikes? They handle pretty well, have decent suspension, and headlights. My issue, is that they cost more than the MXers...

That looks nothing like the motocrossers...and suspension sucks!
