2oz added to 12oz premix is 52:1 in 5 US Gal, not counting the 2oz of soft ceramics. With that being said, all my surfaces are coated, so I'm prob not going to use any additives. There's no metal for them to bond to that isn't already covered in polymer, ... more »
He prob doesn't give a fuck that he gives a fuck, though.
Mine has 09 triple clamps, can I play? I want to win an upside down trophy . It's a 97 but looks like an 01..
When you build a bike that's nothing but one problem bolted to another problem, you have to bring back 70s colloquialisms.
Ratio is a fun one. "What's your manual say?". "60:1, but that's way too lean, my daddy always ran 32:1 so that's what I run." "The oil filler cap on your truck says 5W20 on it, why don't you put 20W50 in it?" "Well, because it ain't spec'd for 20W50! ... more »
I've got one of these motors sitting on my work bench, I'm going to go look. Are you preloading it with the square brass screw?
If you can explain to me, logically, how a fuel additive effects your clutch plates, I'll give you this bike when I'm finished. Or, do you think, perhaps, that with this product is so poorly marketed and lost in translation, that their 2T and 4T additive's ... more »
That ain't mine, just as clean(so far), smaller and using clear, adhesive lined raychem with labeled terminals. TPS, PowerJet, Killswitch, Stator, Coil, Map/Launch, Deutsch 6pin connector for the stator, Japanese automotive ones for the 1-3 pin connectors. ... more »
Using the motorsports twist method for my harness. Took a course, actually. CDI goes in airbox or abouts, haven't leveled exactly where.
I did some digging. I think this might be equivalent. That Bitron stuff is ptfe free and temp activated? I'm assuming it's soft ceramics. This stuff is soft ceramic, and has to come up to operating temp to stick. See what you can find, this stuff is
When it's a gear shoot, will you guys act shocked/angry?
Sorry to ressurect this, but does Bobby still ride? Would he, if he had, say, a year notice, and the race was something that would interest him like no other race could?
It's like asking a guy with a Lectron what his jetting specs are. They get mad. You know how it is these days...stupid is cool. Smart is crazy. Smart people ALWAYS seem like crazy people to dumb people.
Whoa whoa wait, you're turning the powervalve screw on the three shaft motor? I'm pretty sure the newer Motot doesn't operate like the older one does in that regard. There's a set spec for it in the manual.
I've also got some Swaintech spray that increases the dissipation ability of the surface. There's a term for it, but I'm not school trained there. Turbo car guys use it for intercoolers. Check this out. The worst place for info on premix is a dirtbike
Nah that's what Jobe did in 89. I'm using the liquid cooled bottom end. (water pump) Aux fan is absolutely last ditch. Don't think I'll get there. I think Im going to be alright with just increased capacity and quality fluid.
I have the double core China Tigged ones right now. The plan is to drop the left lower tank down 2" to get a little more capacity. I think I'll be fine. You're right, cr500s don't over heat. The only thing I'm stewing about is whether to drop the outlet ... more »
Spent the last year Hamamatsu Way, Couldn't get much older. Out to pasture, think its safe to say, Graphics slightly bolder. And we don't need the fanbois crying cuz the shock is bad The Hamamatsu Way, is cheaper than those F.E. lads *Slide guitar solo* ... more »
Just got off the phone with the guy in Belgium who helped build Georges Jobe's factory 360. Real informative. Turns out, they used the air-cooled 490 bottom end. They ran the Ohlins cylinder. Then they ran a WR lighting coil, which powered a electric ... more »
