I grew up with planes, my dad flew F104 and F5 in the 70’s. He had 8mm films through the (then) HUD of him intercepting russian TU95 Bears. You can even see them waving in some of the footage. Really want to digitalize the footage and give it to him ... more »

Yeah, I agree. And he is very pragmatic, he doesn´t judge or fit the anti communist or anti nazi agenda. If something was done well, or worked, he will tell it. Those are really important qualities when retelling or conveying history

There are some really good pages on instagram to follow for colorized pictures of history. I follow like 6 of them already. Some are focused on eras, like WW1, WW2, American civil war etc. It is amazing how much alive and real the event look with colour.
