Reply to Title & Reg for a desert day trip? 11/23/2020 11:41 AM

Honestly not even worth the risk. You'll probably only get stopped 1 out of every 10 trips... But you don't want this to be the one trip. Just get it registered and spark arrested. Edit: Actually, a lot higher chance of being stopped this week due to ... more »

Again, the YZ makes the same amount MORE than the KTM in the top end. Peak to peak they are .5-1 hp apart, if that!

The X with the power valve mod is probably as good as it gets for a 250 2 stroke for most mortals. Stock, I found it a little too tame and really difficult to get it to rev out, even with perfect jetting. That pv mod really helps open it up without making ... more »

Reply to Power-difference between 2T 250cc engines/generations? 11/18/2020 11:30 AM

That is... Completely wrong. Peak numbers aside (which are close btw), the KTMs make all their power through the mid range, making something like 3.5-4hp more over the YZ250 in that area. The YZs make that same amount more than the KTM in the top end. ... more »

I'm with Metz on this one. The owners/management have developed a reputation for banning people who have legit criticism. They're babies. Fact is you can't run a track and expect to make much off it, so you better be passionate about the sport and in ... more »

In regards to front end brake dive, I feel it is necessary for tight corners/inside ruts. That change of geometry is favorable when entering the corner. Then, upon accelerating out of the corner you return to the "normal" (more stable) geometry needed ... more »

Welcome back to the light side haha! Glen Helen is a real outdoor track, simple as that. It will always be my favorite out here. I've learned more on GH than any other track. As far as LACR goes, I feel the same, but I can't complain... I'm not a fast ... more »

That is probably a true statement for much of the country currently, but we still have hot spots in quite a few places. I've always maintained that the response to this thing required nuance and careful planning, SPECIFIC to the needs to each state, ... more »

I'm continuing to keep track of deaths from all causes, updating my data every couple weeks. I'm a data nerd, so I'm really curious to see how things look at the end of the year compared to last year and previous. I also want to see if there is a spike

2020, didn't ask about the OTD (was in and out dropping off my waverunner for service), but comes with the tuner for free.

Obamacare happened because everyone was fed up with our healthcare system... Because the market wasn't (and still isn't) working as it should. It wasn't thought up out of thin air. It became a major talking point of the elections because people were/are ... more »

Reply to Running a 110 rear tire on 125 ok? 8/12/2020 1:39 PM

Is that mxa YZ the same one where they gained 5hp on the dyno? For a bike that built I could see running a 110. On anything else I think you're losing power by adding more weight/drag to the bike... I realize that is an overly simplified explanation, ... more »

Haha, if you've seen and used one you would know. Especially the ARC products. I think the Renthal design is pretty good too. One obvious thing I'll point out about cheap POS ebay levers is that they are SQUARE. There is nothing comfortable about pulling ... more »

For me, looks like it's all been mentioned.... Shift stuff has seemingly always been on point. Or at least in the late 90s followed by their resurgence with Reed in 2011. No Fear... So good! All of it!
