No, you have to buy a new Rekluse pressure plate to turn it back into a manual clutch. Then just replace the EXP. disc with the clutch plate that was removed. At least that's what you have to do if you have the Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 setup. If you only ... more »

It should be very easy to spin by hand without the chain fitted and in neutral.

There are companies out there that specialize in drain plug repair bolts. A couple of years back I was looking for something for my Honda CR125 and found a company that made 1mm oversize with the same pitch, which means you could just chase the old thread ... more »

It should be obvious if it's binding. It should feel smooth with a bit of drag.

I wouldn't ride without mine. I use a fox titan body suit. It's a bit cheap and nasty, but covers chest, back, shoulders, forearms and elbows. I'm sure it's saved me plenty of times.

Any time I've tried to get anyone to watch my cam footage, it takes about 2 minutes before their eyes start to glaze over. I suppose my videos are just not exciting/interesting enough. They're a great idea, but are they really necessary? In my case probably ... more »

Thanks, I'll do the forks before this weekend. Will have to drop the shock off somewhere though.

I've been extremely lazy, my fork oil has be in for almost 70 hours and still on the original fork seals from new (2 years). I drop the dust seals every few rides, clean and apply a bit of grease. Bike is used for moto practice and hare Scrambles. Must

I've just had a look on Fowlers (Bristol) parts fiche. The bolts from a 2001 and 2004 don't look the same. Try using their parts fiche and cross referencing. The 2005 bolt looks similar to the 2004 bolt.

After re-reading the manual I'm, pleased to say that it is possible to change the fork oil by just removing the fork cap. Changing the fork oil on the PSF2 is a simple job after all. Just in case there are any other numpties like myself out there that

Ok, so after a bit more research and the help of this useful thread I now realise how naive I've been. Having never serviced cartridge forks before I was hoping (wrongly) that I could just unscrew the fork cap, drain the oil and then re-fill like I've ... more »

Reply to StarCross 5 for Southern Ca. tracks. Which compound? 7/17/2019 6:21 AM

It's not a soft computed as I understand. They tire is for soft ground and therefore if anything will be made of a harder compound (not sure that Michelin actually use different compounds though). The tread pattern spaces the knobs further apart. (I'm ... more »

Can anyone tell me if I have to remove the damper assembly to just change the oil?

Hmm...I wish I'd paid more attention now, but there wasn't anything obvious when I fitted it 12 months ago. There must have been a small piece tucked away somewhere. It wasn't like I just chucked it in either, obviously when you receive your new Rekluse ... more »

Fortunately nothing seems to have got past the first oil strainer. Just back from the track, 5 sessions and the engine didn't blow. I'll drop the oil again tomorrow and check the strainer.

The Hi-Flow filters that I use come in a small box, no shrink or bubble wrap.

I flushed it with remainder of my Putoline today and then filled it with Maxima Extra. I'll drop the oil again after tomorrow and see how it looks.
