Just watched the post race show from High Point. The way this guy pronounces Mountain Dew is legendary and made him my favorite rider on the circuit. Screw the energy drinks Hunter, get a Mountain Deeeew sponsorship! https://youtu.be/m5V2ekBpKT4
I think the goal is to miss the football stadiums till at least the super bowl. Not sure what happened with Vegas, is Sam Boyd getting demolished? Maybe that’s the reason?
If your the AMA or Roger you at the very least make the call and see if it’s possible and what would it take. Did Webb race the Euro Yamaha in 2015/2016? Honestly, even if AC and Tomac don’t race I would but Barcia as my 4th 450 option behind Webb, Osborne, ... more »
I love the track and it’s my odds on favorite to have the next MXofN in the US. The heat is just something unreal, maybe some portable lighting and have the first moto start at 8pm, you could maybe if the timing is right and the networks are for it having ... more »
I remember Tomac riding his ass off in 2013 while Dungey circled around in 7th if my memory is correct.
Last time I checked Tomac was the best American based rider at Red Bud. Barcia 9-13 scores were sure legendary. I believe Eli took the 31st gate pick both times as well. Just throwing the facts out there. Tomac wasn’t the reason the US lost last year. ... more »
Isn’t a part of any sporting debate usually have people telling someone they are wrong? Don’t put an opinion that is a little out there without expecting to take a little crap for it.
Makes you wonder if the Florida national will return. Maybe they make it a night race?
I will agree his first championship was far from perfect. 470 has to be one of the lowest Championship totals ever. But last season he had 1 bad moto, moto 2 at Red Bud after getting 36th gate pick. Other than that he had a DNF and 9th the final moto ... more »
His worst moto is a 7th, lowest scoring round is 39 points. He has crashed 1 time all season. Far from throwing it away.
You are talking about a guy who over the last 2 years/36 motos has averaged 21.7 points per moto. This includes the DNF at Red Bud last year in which was no fault of his own. Eli may be a headcase indoors but he is far from one in the Great Outdoors. ... more »
I was at the High Point National and met Dean and his wife in the pits before the race. I later saw his wife watching the race in the section I was in carrying around 2 little ones. As a parent of young children I can't help but imagine the toll of traveling ... more »
Does anyone think KTM tried to rip Tomac away from Kawi? You would have to think Roger at the very least made the call.
I don’t understand why he doesn’t choose the farthest inside gate that has a decent angle, worst case scenario you sneak around the inside and salvage a top 10 start. By going outside you have a lot of risk unless it goes perfect. Even moto 2 yesterday ... more »
He caught Marv in moto 2 with about 6 minutes plus 2 to go, then made a mistake that cost multiple seconds. I think Eli figures it would be smarter to finish 3rd than go outside his comfort zone to try to get him again. One thing I don’t understand is ... more »
Agreed. I hope that he can learn supercross fast.

Is Marvin a US Citizen yet? Cause if he is that would be a good way to stick it to the French. Highly unlikely but you never know. I would go with Tomac, Anderson, and Osbourne. Although Anderson is the only consistent starter. The GP tracks heavily ... more »
Villopoto had quite the injury list as well. I think both ACL's multiple times. Without those injuries I think Villopotos stat line would be extremely close to RC's. Almost every major athlete gets hurt at some point, some are luckier than others, some ... more »
Yes he did, but he had to to hold off Musquin for the final 4 laps after getting passed and gapped in moto 1. Tomac was pretty much the fastest rider at every other race last season besides the Red Bud debacle, which he was leading moto 1 by 10 seconds ... more »
Alex has overachieved tremendously in this sport. I think 2016-2017 was the best we were going to see from him. Even in those years that he finished second there wasn’t many moto wins or overalls. That points to lack of top flight speed, his consistency ... more »
