Added reply in a thread Active Suspension - only a matter of time 7/1/2016 2:45 PM

I have this on my 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. It's pretty impressive and it's probable that this technology will be one of the basic building blocks of truly active suspension. It's far superior to the servo controlled adjustable shock dampening used by many ... more »

My street bike, a 2016 Yamaha R1M, has semi-active electronically controlled Ohlins suspension. Along with a plethora of other electronic aids (lift control, spin control, slide control, etc.), it's a game changer. I can ride this bike far beyond the ... more »

It's hard to say - I had the Huck Valves installed in the Ohlins forks when I bought them, so I can't say definitively if any improvements were because of the Huck Valves or the Ohlins. Hard hits are much softer with the Ohlins/Huck Valve setup compared ... more »

Please elaborate. Fact: In this thread alone, there have been multiple different definitions of the term "Supercross Triple" proferred. Conclusion: There is no common understanding of the term, hence my question is legitimate. Fact: Despite that fact ... more »

All kidding aside, I'm really just curious what the term "Supercross Triple" means. I'm not saying yours, or Zehn's, or anyone else's definition is wrong. I'm genuinely curious what obstacle will be missing from this week's race. From the track map, ... more »

I rest my case. Yours is at least the 3rd different definition of a "Supercross Triple" in this thread. Furthermore, the Googles revealed that the only time in the history of the known universe that the term "Supercross Triple" has appeared on the internet ... more »

Well, based on the responses to this thread, you are demonstrably incorrect. Are you one of those people who say "I got a good holeshot"?

Added reply in a thread OK, I'm dumb. Educate me. 1/29/2016 6:02 PM

Yet, the responses on this thread indicate no clear consensus regarding what, precisely, differentiates a "Supercross Triple" from a triple jump on a supercross track. First world problems.

For some reason, I'm not able to post directly to this thread: http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/No-Supercross-Triple-this-weekend,1297345?exclusive_forum_user=false&page=1 Apparently, after watching dozens of supercross races on TV and attending 20 or so in person, as well as having been involved in this sport for decades, I'm completely stumped by ... more »

I'll admit I didn't see it happening. I thought he'd struggle to finish in the top 10. He's making the youngsters look silly.

I'll post better pictures of the exhaust tomorrow, as well as pics of the seat and fenders. I don't have the front number plate.

If I recall correctly, the tank is slightly yellowed. I'll post a pic so you can see for yourself if its something you'd be interested in.

I have pretty much a complete '93 CR250 less the main frame. I think I threw the radiator shrouds, side panels, and front number plate away, but I'll have to dig through some boxes to make sure. I have pretty much everything else including the suspension, ... more »

Added reply in a thread How many of you have won a race? 11/30/2015 5:44 PM

I've won two races under completely different circumstances. The first time was a Vet C race back in the late 90s on a full gate of 40 riders. The second time was a couple of years ago when I "won" something called the "Boomer" class (I think it was ... more »

Added reply in a thread Best Vet racing? 11/26/2015 4:29 AM

I've been racing the Masters series since 2012 and agree with everything you said. Plus, they run some of the longest motos I've experienced since I first started racing back in the 1970s. 8 laps for the A classes.

Well, at 54 years old I've probably devolved into a D rider after 40 years of riding/racing. I make no apologies for having a stock 250, a modified 250, and a modded 450 (full Ohlins setup, which I guess makes me some sort of super a**hole). I enjoy ... more »
