The 300 250 use the same jetting at 4,000 ft you have to be running really lean with that jetting , we race Snowshoe this year in West Virginia that was 5,000 ft and the bike ran like crap with the 42 pilot and a 170 Main same needle third position. ... more »
Necj is leaner than the stock KTM needles we run a 40 or 42 pilot with that needle third clip. We ride at Field of Dreams in Jersey a lot which is at sea level bike runs great. If you like to scream the bike I go even a little higher to a 172 on the ... more »
You need to go up on the main to at least 170 with necj
Cheap transponders already exist we use them at local races here ,it's just a sticker that goes on your helmet and they usually last Life of your helmet they're $5.00 As far as your nerve damage the feeling will come back after a few months, been through ... more »
I think the 18 is the first year that they have the same crank you could just switch cylinders back and forth like the 250 and 300.

OEM have problems from time to time too I think it was 2009 KTM had a bunch of bad cranks the good thing was they would replace everything, the bad thing was it took 2 months to get everything fixed . at the time we only had one bike it kind of wrecked

The above post is kind of funny my son is AA/PRO we have three sets of these wheels and they've been put through torturous situations never had a set fail. We've had spokes break but nothing more then KTM stock wheels just part of your bike inspection
You didn't post what type of fuel you are using, with the crappy pump gases we have today excessive ethanol can make your engine knock , which will destroy your head gasket.

I was going to say the same thing , loose sprocket bolts. The only downfall with the cheap rims is there heavy, I have a set that's been ran all kinds of nasty stuff with flat tires for 2 hours and I still use them.
