California Cycleworks sells them for half the price , back in 2011 and 12 we go through about 3 a season it seemed like 13 and up they had the problem fixed . We started changing the inline filters every 10 hours, the in tank filter every 30 and ran ... more »
Like mentioned above if you just put a clean air filter in that's probably the culprit , or you have a leaky valve seal which isn't a big deal as long as you're not leaving a trail of smoke behind the bike when you're riding I wouldn't worry about it. ... more »
If you go with a KTM you can even plate the sx model the XC might be a better option though you would have one extra gear for on the road and it already has lighting coil, the xc-w models wouldn't be very good on the MX track those bikes are designed ... more »
KTM will absolutely pay for this ,we had 250 F that we race for a whole season and 3rd gear broke in it they replace the whole transmission for me without any trouble. Also had a 300 that the rod broke same thing replaced every single part that was
There is no sensor that shuts the engine down here's a few photos of mine the oil boiled it was so
I wonder how the company is going to sustain income when there's really no parts to buy or updates to do to the motor. There's no real reason to buy next year's model like with today's current bikes.
If you still had some coolant left you're probably okay we had this happen multiple times with one of our older bikes without any bad effects , but if you lost all the coolant you need to tear the engine apart. we had a 350 that the head gasket fail ... more »

Our first 350 which was the old engine ,we ran that for a full season tore it down at 130 hours everything was still in-spec still replace the piston ,valves and timing chain , we do this with every bike at the end of the season. It was raced a mixture ... more »
A buddy of mine just picked one up in PA with the street title 81 out the door .it really ticks me off that they charge setup fee on these bikes when KTM reimburses them for them with a $400 credit ,then they charge you $400 so they make 800 bucks on ... more »
On the new KTM you cannot check the TPS with the bike running , idle needs to be turned all the way down to get an accurate reading
A Plus if you race husky has a great contingency program
That's just how they mix the fuel
Of all the things listed above definitely change the plug that's the simplest. ,swap tanks with your buddy to make sure your fuel pumps not failing then clean the injector. if you still have the problem and the last thing I would check is the TPS if ... more »
