Hope this is what we see…. But it’s moto, and I bet we’re all going to have fun watching it either way.

Sure looks like that's what we're in for... Expect Barcia and Plessinger to get after it.

Well that’s a Vitard post for sure…

A few guys here that never raced Saddleback, Carlsbad or DeAnza…. All of my “home” tracks were hard pack and natural terrain. Metzeler….

Yeah, the carb, pipe and R&D power valve would be a pretty big step to start out with. Then brakes, suspension and tires. Competitive bike for sure. And keep the motor FRESH!!! Need more? Porting, head work and even the ignition are all things that ... more »

Vortex has or at least had a X10 ignition for the RM85...

Definitely looking to start trouble, aren't you? Can't say I don't wish Lupino could have rode Thunder Valley too... Would have made the comparison a bit more fun. TG243 was on fire.... Class of the field for sure.

Contact Dean Dickinson at R&D Racing and get some work done. R&D's history with the little RM's is second to none. First mod is his power valve cover and a mapped ignition... One of the magazines, I want to say it was Dirt Rider did an RM85 build. ... more »

2 comments I would make... I did say they were prototypes. And this is on the side of the larger bike....

I think it would be great if more MFG's were actually developing their mini's. The KX got some updates... Enough? I don't know what would be "enough". The YZ needs some attention... The RM needs it more than any for sure. And I was hoping that SWM would

Fantic is blocked by Yamaha from importing and selling those bikes in the US... Otherwise, great choice.

What's your take on the pipe and silencer swap? Did you tune the power valve further after the pipe swap?

Barcia, Plessinger and Cooper. Plessinger was ready for Red Bud, but that huge get-off going for the lead in the qualy race ruined his weekend. Barcia is always game for an MXoN and Cooper showed he was capable... Just before Pala, I would have said ... more »

Completely agree... If he can stay on the bike and not aggravate it, he should be good for top 10 points and move on to the next round healthier.

Added reply in a thread Where would T. VIALLE rank in 250 outdoors ? 6/8/2021 7:42 AM

I think Vialle would turn our top 3 into a top 4... He would be racing for moto wins and dicing with Coop, Jett and JMart. I do think Jett has this one, his confidence is building and speed is there. I don't think Tom would be able to stop it...

There is always that risk of someone being faster than they think they are... It happens, bump them. In 1976 as a minibike MX rider, intermediate class at the time, I entered my first ever desert race, it was called Searchlight to Vegas. It actually ... more »

Added reply in a thread JA21 to Kawasaki...? Why? 6/1/2021 3:36 PM

Why? Why would Kawasaki want him? Let's see, yes the season is young... But he's currently ahead of Musquin, Webb, Tomac, Osborne and Cianciarulo... That's not a bad start.

Added reply in a thread Why do riders Sandbag C class? 6/1/2021 8:41 AM

There is no honor among thieves.... That's C class MX today. In my race days, it was Novice, Intermediate and Expert. And if you had 2 wins in any class you were automatically bumped up. We always wanted to bump up as quickly as possible. You always ... more »
