Interesting you name Isak Gifting. As a Swede I would nothing rather than him being successful. It was a great surprise last year when he got the GasGas ride and just smashed it. It's been a long time coming for Swedish MX. It will be interesting to ... more »

I never was the greatest Villopto-fan, but I think it’s undeniable that he was a tad bit better than Dungey. But what many seem to forget is that Dungey was the only one during Villopotos hay-days who consistently could give him a run for the money. ... more »

Perhaps, but I also saw him holding back. A specific occasion was when he was more or less side-by-side with Webb over the finish line jump and had the inside of the next corner. I thought he would surely punt Webb off the track, but he didn’t - which ... more »

That would probably depend on how they time the white flag. 😉

Yes, about 21 minutes or so. Crazy! 🤓

Well that could be debatable. I don't disagree with you fully, but on the other hand: Is it comparable to the works bike of the '80s, like for instance the YZM 500 I mentioned in my previous post? And Honda had some of those as well in the mid '80s, ... more »

Added reply in a thread 22 riders, let’s see your H1 predictions 1/15/2021 11:10 AM

As was mentioned on the Racer X preview show: Last year all races were won by three guys, except for two races which were won by two other dudes, tallying up to 5 winners. The field has always seemed, before the season starts, to be more stacked than ... more »

I get the incentive behind the homologation rule, back when it was conceived, but in 2021 I think it’s highly counter-productive. When was the last time we saw a true works-bike (including the GPs)? And with the homologation rule in place, when was the ... more »

I wouldn’t go so far to say it’s a continental difference, but if you compare f ex Prado, Cairoli, Coldenhoff (who I think has a very beautiful riding style) and Herlings, my gut-feeling is they stand up and keep their feet on the pegs more than the ... more »

Remember the dude had won the 125 and 250 MX WC, and the US 250, 500 and premier SX at the age of 22. He’s definitely not a dude you can accuse of having sand-bagged 😄 In this 125 conversation you could potentially also add Mike Brown.

@Uptitie is on to something. I don’t know Dungey’s net worth, but I guess it’s substantial. I’ve always been a huge Dungey fan, and my guess is he wouldn’t need to ride for money, and if so he would just be a cheap mf, which I would never think of the ... more »

Jean-Michel Bayle. He’s the best motorcyclist who have ever lived. Period. No, and that’s not an April’s fool joke.

Tomac, Webb and Anderson have. I guess he’s counting Roczen’s and Osbourne’s 450 nats to that list.

Crashing without getting hurt is also a talent and skill (I seriously mean that). Tuck and roll, tuck and roll baby. Obviously nothing anyone ever told Herlings about 😂 One thing is for sure regarding Gajser: Not many has ever had such a beautiful riding ... more »

I was thinking the same about Prado's race craft. The rookie out-smarted the veteran. You could tell he was absolutely spent, but he managed to keep the speed up where he needed, and slow down and rest a bit where he could. Seriously impressive ride ... more »

A subject matter that has been on my mind for some time, got reasons to arise again today: What is it that makes a selected few MX riders to never, or very rarely, lose their focus and make mistakes? Today at Lommel we had both Vialle in MX2 and Prado ... more »

Well, imho Geerts made a mistake, even a rookie-mistake. He was so much faster than Vialle that he didn't need to force the issue. You could see that crash coming already by the finish line jump.
