I just don't understand why someone would spend thousands for a bike and then not spend the few dollars required for a service manual. I have always gotten one for every bike, mower, tractor, truck and all other equipment I have ever owned. The few dollars ... more »

That is a photo explaining exactly why I have stated in the past that attempts to patch the stripped oil drain in an engine is not a great idea. The surrounding metal is just too thin. Good luck with getting it welded, but the best bet is to replace ... more »

It looks to be a "cold seize". The engine was not allowed to heat up correctly before putting a load on it. Paw Paw

Again...Unless you took each jet out of the carb and cleaned each one by hand you have not cleaned the carb!!!!! Carb cleaner spray and air just will not cut it! Paw Paw

I hate to tell you, but yes that little bit of an issue with the cam timing dots will keep it from starting. Did you replace the cam chain during the rebuild? If not you need to do so as it has exceeded it's wear limits. Paw Paw

I would suggest that the use of the springs designed for your cams would be the best. Yes, they cost more, but then you would know the quality and the match up would be there. Paw Paw

Reply to 2 stroke start ? 1/31/2020 2:13 PM

Stuck carb float, dirty pilot jet, filter screen in fuel petcock dirty, stopped up fuel tank or carb vent lines. Because your plug is wet, it could be that you have flooded the crank cavity with fuel and until that is cleaned out it will not start. Paw ... more »

My experience is that it made the front end push in the turns unless I could get the forks well up into the tree. It also changed the rear dampening a good bit. Paw Paw
