I am very anti-playoff system in motor sports. I prefer each race to count equally towards a season championship. I get what you’re saying with the last race of the year not being meaningful though and not wanting to go. I’d rather see them rotate the ... more »

I agree with the Full Floater rear suspension. In one year the RM125 was completely transformed. I had Öhlins shocks on my ‘80 RM125 and there was still no comparison with the ‘81.

I understand. I intended to add that is the value of longer term testing. A year end review of bikes might be interesting.

You’d think things like this would make shootouts.

Fun? Bring on the 125s! They feel roughly half the weight of a 250F.

Any changes to the track? From your quick videos it appears to have no changes. I’ll be there all day Sat!

The most valuable part of shootouts is the relative comparisons between the bikes, and especially those relative differences observed by riders of similar build and skill as myself. ML’s Vital shootouts were excellent for that. Dependability is nice ... more »

Purchasing the bikes and NOT using factory loaners is much closer to all of us average Joes reality. I think it’s great and applaud the effort. Unlike many here, I’m not an MXA hater, in fact I’ve been reading it for nearly 40 years. I still enjoy their ... more »

It’s a great idea. Not sure I would have spent $250, just a gut feeling that seems high. Perhaps $175-$220 for all 6. Offer $40 per bike as an option for those that either are not interested in all 6, or have a budget of $80-$120, or whatever. Couple ... more »

Listening to Kenny’s bike, I don’t think peak HP has anything to do with his fast time. He almost never has it high in the revs. Seems to spend most of the time near the torque peak. Be interesting to see a data log and see how long he is actually at ... more »

The operative words being “..a part of motocross.” Not half the track, in my opinion. If you like them, or enjoy watching rutted tracks, good for you. I have no idea which is statistically more dangerous. Per time on track, probably SX, per race, probably ... more »

Keep voting people into office that want the government to be more involved and this is what you get. Elections have consequences.

“Why does people...” not know the English language? But to your question, the Unadilla of decades ago had a similar look to the Euro tracks of the day vs. the dry, hard pack tracks such as Carlsbad. Just my guess.

The sport has done a lot of things right since the 70s. Tilling Unadilla and taking away the natural elements is not one of the improvements. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q_n2m0N3LpQ

Drive the tiller into a lake, haul it off, whatever. The old Unadilla was much better to watch than the rutfest, slot car racing of late.
