Blendzall and Castrol R are the smell of ‘70s motocross and Bel-Ray for late ‘70s early ‘80s bring back memories for many people. Maxima 927 is the next best thing for today.

Also, if you want the factory looking finish on the frame it should be about an 850-85% gloss.
Powder coat to match VMX plastic is RAL 3020. Yes, the VMX plastic is a slightly darker red then Tahitian red but looks pretty damn good.

Ride the heck out of it. None of us are getting any younger and who will appreciate it later, you can clean it up and stare at it later in life.

Was off the bike for 30 years and bought the SIDI X3. Has the feel of the old Hi Point boots plus has the sewn on sole and not the screw on stuff.
Look forward to seeing it built.
