Sweet bike, I've never seen one in the wild. Well, besides mine that is.

I was lucky to find mine with an '06 chassis and Showa 1st gen TC fork. MX-Tech updated shock('06). I slapped a '17 YZ250F front end into shimmed lower triple. The handling is on par with new 250F's.

Power mod's have it yarding 250F's. With equally skilled riders, it will run with 250 smokers & 350's. The only mod is the STIC Super X carb. You'd need to have a full engine race tune/mods for a Lectron or Smart Carb to almost keep up. YAT

How do the 200's run compared to 125's and 250's? That bike looks really good!

Best engine I ever had for manageable power. I could 3rd gear in the street and spin the back tire it had so much power. I had a RC RM250  replica that would walk on water it was so powerful but I could not ride to the bikes potential - the KTM 200 is another story. I felt I could take anyone with that engine.

They have like 2 to 3 hp on an same period 125, but much better torque. Still nothing like 250 tq. Unlike a 250, it can't be short shifted under loads at moderate speeds.

They have to be ridden more like a 125, but they only rev to 9k. 

So easier to ride than a 125 and more work to ride than a 250.

Awesome bikes, I had several 03-04 200SX’s and loved them.  Even put the motor into newer chassis a few times until they redesigned the small bore cases.  I gotta know how you found a Doma pipe.  I had one but it took years to find it, like finding a needle in a hay stack. Congrats on the bike

It kills me to hear that the unobtainium Doma is that much better than the stock pipe. I let one go with my '00 200MXC. Yes it was a world of difference, but I got the '00 with a Gnarely on it. Wished I'd kept it, bc I got  back in with the upgraded SX I mentioned. Again, the STIC brought more than I imagined possible.

Rode a lot of these 2003-2006 KTM's and I have nothing bad to say about them, really. Good times.

Nice build. Always wanted a 200sx. Wish one of the oems would bring it back for motocross.

Congrats. All it needs is a YZ SSS front end and the STIC Super X carb. The KYB's only need a super thin shim in the lower triple clamp. Like $500, same cost as a fork re-valve. The Super X will yard 250F's and hang with bigger bores. A fact at the track. I enjoy it more than my '24 300SX and '22 YZ250F. The only thing is, my arms ache from the YAT, for days.
