Don't buy one for MPG alone. The math never works out in favor of saving money in that scenario. If you want one because they are taller inside, nicer to drive, newer, etc then by all means go for it. but don't do it solely for MPG.

In my area (Oklahoma) it's not uncommon at all sadly. People need to leave politics out of it and just enjoy riding/racing our bikes. Riding and racing brings us together. Politics drive us apart. I'd rather go racing and ride with people than argue ... more »

If you have the ability, save up a few extra dollars and try to snag a 2017. The motor is so much better in my opinion. Good luck with your search

How much for the rear shock? Any idea what spring is installed?

In my area we didn't get to watch the broadcast. They cancelled it to cover 3 hours of protests, and then 2 hours of horse racing. I was able to see the 250 heats and nothing else......

To be clear I think they’re great for MX and faster stuff. And are really great on a 450. but on my tx300 I don’t like them.

Added reply in a thread recluse auto clutch 11/29/2019 6:20 AM

Yes, it’s while I’m using the lever. I prefer the oem engagement.

Added reply in a thread recluse auto clutch 11/28/2019 8:58 PM

My experience with the two units I had were that the engagement was far less precise than the OEM clutch, especially at low rpm. lots of people like them. But when you start really focusing on trials-like technique they become a hindrance big time.

Added reply in a thread recluse auto clutch 11/28/2019 7:35 PM

They are great for faster stuff like gnccs and MX. Or for if you have a 450 and are trying to perform track and trail duty with it. But I can't stand them for hard enduro. They aren't as precise as the OEM setups when the terrain gets really tricky. ... more »

Or you could just ride the yz250 as-is. That would be far more “economical” than buying a new bike the dropping the $ on a big bore kit...... just saying. Especially for people who just ride “for fun”

They don’t roll under at low psi like a tube does because the inner bladder holds the entire bead firmly against the rim. They obviously still can roll, but it has to be at a much lower pressure than with a tube setup. The construction of the tire also ... more »

There is room for tons of error. If it wasn't for one turn, you could literally drive an F250 up that road. It's that wide. This was a serious lack of rider skill, as it's literally a mountain road, not even a trail.

Added reply in a thread Falls down a cliff... survives 9/17/2019 1:01 PM

It's not nearly as bad as it looks. It was a huge mistake by the rider and nothing else. I've been over this many times on a bike and also in our jeep.

Added reply in a thread Tubeless 9/17/2019 12:57 PM

I use it for my Enduro and cross country setups. I've never had a problem with mine and they've been on two different bikes with several sets of tires on both. I'm a huge fan.

On the slick rock I would recommend a trials type tire. I prefer the motoz mountain hybrid, or the motoz extreme hybrid. They both work well on the rock. Now they aren’t good for much else IMO. But on the rock the trials type tires are king.

There is no OHV trail in Arches. Buy the non resident permit at the local Maverick station. As mentioned above, don’t mount fresh rubber, it will be destroyed. Slick rock is anything but slick. The local moto track by the old airport is not worth the ... more »
