Reply to How do you root? 6/23/2020 12:30 PM

You didn't offer the option a number of us would have chosen. Many racers/riders don't root for any brand or particular rider, we're just fans of the sport and only care about seeing good racing.

You are wrong. ONLY the Austrian race bikes come with a written manufacturers warranty. This says a bunch about their commitment to quality and their customers.

If you look up the word "narcissist" in the dictionary you'll see a picture of Reed. He's so in love with himself and needing of attention he'll definitely race some select races just to hear folks clap and cheer for him as his ego demands. Hell, the ... more »

Did you buy a 3rd party warranty policy when you bought the bike? I wasn't aware of warranty/insurance policies being sold by third party companies on race bikes. I imagine they're probably out there somewhere as it you've got enough cash you get get ... more »

I imagine they'll let him out of his Senior Citizen Assisted Living facility but not sure he wants to risk not being let back in with this virus stuff. I don't think his "Rookie" of the year award will carry much weight with the nursing home administrators. ... more »

If you hadn't gotten lost there I threw in a second one that would have gotten you, specifically the "territorial urination contest"...

Funny you'd mention the wear on the master link pins. I was nut and bolting my bike before riding last weekend and something caught my eye. The clip on my RK EXW XW-ring chain was missing! It was unsettling and could have resulted in very serious consequences

Thanks for the response but really looking for advice on the question presented. I've quantitatively tracked longevity of consumables for over thirty years and found X/O ring chains are well worth the price compared to standard chains. I'm not trying ... more »

The OEM slider and guide on my 2019 KTM 450 is too narrow for an X/O ring chain. The pins on my X/O ring chains are getting worn/ground down from contacting the "vertical" portions of the slider and guide. I'm having to replace my chains due to this ... more »

LOL. Choked up, no. The beauty of watching it delayed about 1.5 hours off the DVR is you can fast forward through all the bullshit and commercials. If I had watched I probably would have choked up vomit. No everybody is a fan of the guy...

I was told by some of the guys racing there weren't enough entires to "enforce" the originally announced criteria rules for entry. On a side note, Colt Nichols wouldn't be racing in SLC if the original criteria were applied. Lack of entrants made the ... more »

6'5" and I believe 205 pounds. Lot of extra weight to carry when the gate drops which makes for a disadvantage on the holeshot. The long legs help make up for it on certain tracks/obstacles.

JGR's historical performance considering the resources they have/had clearly indicate it's a poorly managed company. Note, I'm not attacking anybody, I'm just stating fact based upon performance and resources.
