I've got to say the 2nd series was disappointing for me, seemed a little more interested in showing gore rather than quality story telling. The fight scenes were still well done but I don't think they topped the fights in the 1st series.

It has become too smart for its own good, and certain things don't really make a great deal of sense. But it still looks amazing. The 1st 2 seasons for me will always be some of the best TV ever made.

Just got through the 1st 3 episodes tonight, it's got a pretty good creepy vibe going on, but if I lived with these people they would do my nut in, the house has massive windows but the interior lights are on constantly through the day, never mind all ... more »

Who's paid for the entry then Ian? And are both bikes going to last longer than 2 laps this time? I said I'd never do it again as well and I'm not doing it.

It's a great race, done it many times. The average rider can't compute the track in the same way as the top guys as you can see from that film. Kellet has become one of the great sand riders if his generation.

2nd season of Gangs of London starts tonight on Sky Atlantic/HBO in the UK tonight. It's said to be even more brutal than the 1st season, we'll see. Gotta be more interesting than Game of Dragons Ring pieces of power I'm sure.

To a certain degree more punters can also lead to more problems for the organisers. Bigger costs, more toilets, more fencing, more security personnel. The offset to that is the the ticket sales, the food and drink sales and the merch sales. Only Dixon ... more »

Saw Dirty Honey supporting Rival Sons, love that kind of old school sleazy rock shit. Going to see the Sheepdogs on Saturday night, a band I also saw supporting Rival Sons on a previous tour.

I heard this rumour a couple of weeks ago, seeing as they were up for Dylan Walsh doing some SX rounds it seems like a less rigid team to be on for him.

I saw that exact tour, he blew their doors off. He is always worth seeing, and definitely better live than studio recording, and he's good at that.

I didn't think anyone into rock music would choose not to see their favourite bands. Most are always better live due to the rawness and soul put into the performance. Blues is definitely better live. Theres only 2 bands that I can say we're disappointing ... more »

We were discussing the demise of rock music on the way home from a gig Tuesday night, we saw a great rock/metal band called Inglorious in a great small venue. I bet the average age of the crowd is 45-50 years old. When I first started going to gigs in ... more »
