Added reply in a thread World SX has the chance to remake the sport. 7/1/2022 5:29 AM

It's really, really simple. It's not power rankings. It's the final standings of the 2021 FIM SX world championship, which was the Monster Energy SX series by FELD.

If the outcome for the riders and teams is more money or less losing money in the teams cases, how can you want it to fail?

Added reply in a thread Ken Roczen to Compete in FIM World Supercross 6/30/2022 10:33 PM

It wont disappear but it will be a series with less depth and talent. Most of the good 10th-20th place riders wont race it (that is actually already the case) and most of the top guys that are a bit older will go SX only.

Hahaha this is almost comedy at this point! And for MX Sports, this is just horrible timing with WSX in the mix and will overlap the nationals starting 2023.

Added reply in a thread New FIM World Supercross Championship 6/30/2022 5:09 AM

Riders and teams are set to actually make money from this new WSX series. I can't understand how that would be bad for the sport. Unless you look at this from a solely selfish point of view where the talent get spread out in the first couple of years. ... more »

Listen to the interview that ML did with Craig Dack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olQOvIA4bZ8&ab_channel=VitalMX Kinda obvious that this year is "just a pilot" year with a couple of races. Then they'll know what needs improvement for 2023 when ... more »

Added reply in a thread Cooper Webb Signs One Year Deal with Red Bull KTM...What Happens in 2024? 6/27/2022 10:37 PM

The plain and simple issue is that the outdoors isn't profitable enough. When these riders and agents start to negotiate contracts they ask what they could get if they exclude the outdoor series. I bet the base sum of doing SX + nationals vs SX only ... more »

Your team will be very strong if the brothers stays healthy and Evans keeps building. Anything less than a podium would be a surprise.

Added reply in a thread Helmet for 2 year old 6/27/2022 3:12 AM

I would look at a MTB full-face helmet instead. A 2 year old will ride very slowly and any kind of crash will probably be well within what a good MTB full-face helmet is designed to handle.

Yep no footpegs on some bikes here in Europe. Kinda nuts to be fair, doesn't really sit well with the reputation that KTM has (deservedly) developed as a premium brand.

Added reply in a thread #12: MXGP of Indonesia - June 25-26 6/24/2022 1:37 AM

The teams should get much more support for a round like Indonesia. The market for 2 wheel bikes is insane there and it's one of the most important market for all the OEMs. Indonesia is such an important round, we should have at least 30 (good, not gate ... more »

Added reply in a thread husqvarna 2023 plastic patent 6/23/2022 2:16 AM

But plastics manufacturers have been selling CRF450 2021 plastics without any design changes since day one in the bikes existence. So there is obviously a difference to this situation.

Added reply in a thread husqvarna 2023 plastic patent 6/22/2022 10:56 PM

No it's not completely normal what they've done. They've done it so thoroughly that plastics manufacturers are unable to sell plastics for the 2023 SX/SXF/TC/FC bikes at the moment. That is unheard of for other OEMs.

Added reply in a thread Sidecar Motocross 6/22/2022 2:54 AM

Meh, they aren't that bad in my opinion. Quads are way, way worse for the track in my experience.

Added reply in a thread husqvarna 2023 plastic patent 6/22/2022 2:40 AM

That is the "old" generation. The same will apply for the 2024 enduro models when they get the new generation update.

Added reply in a thread husqvarna 2023 plastic patent 6/22/2022 2:38 AM

I can confirm it, it's true (KTM and Husqvarna). Everyone is working to find a solution but be prepared for getting your aftermarket plastics very late this year.

Added reply in a thread Rekluse spares, where? Got shafted on eBay. 6/21/2022 4:33 AM

Search on the Rekluse website (https://rekluse.com/support/) with the SKU of the clutch, you'll find a full parts fische of it and you'll find the inner hub SKU. Then start googling or contact a dealer that can order it for you from a distributor.

Full gates means nothing when you have riders 15 or even 20 seconds off the pace per lap (gate fillers, just like the fly-away GP has) that AMA nationals can have brings nothing in a debate of which generation had more top competition.

Added reply in a thread 80+ HP E-motocross bikes and increased injuries/deaths 6/20/2022 3:28 AM

The big issue are the fast and relatively easy tracks. Keep the speeds down and injuries will automatically be reduced or less severe. It's too easy for novice riders to go fast on firm, smooth and big tracks. And put a lot of effort to making the space ... more »

Being that tall, you would be more comfortable with the KTM ergos. I'd go with the 350.
