This... You likely have an air intake leak. Replacing the reed block & intake boot are your best place to start.

Yep... Stewart & Carmichael started well after having hair on their chest. My take on it is a bit different.. My son is a top level bmx kid - nag 1, factory team, etc. I have only allowed him to progress as I thought he understood the consequences

If you can do simple math, the desmo valves are very easy to adjust. Havent checked the valves in my old 900 monster for about 15k miles though.

If you're fixing it up just to sell it, I would just sell it as is. Seals, top end & sounds like you possibly have a lean condition or some sort of air leak on the intake side. Parts & a bunch of labor for a bike that you will probably get around ... more »

That was weird, like he couldn't decide to take the half pedal leading to the face & hesitated. Looked like he will be fine though.
