Thanks. As far as I know Evo is still selling this stuff. The seat cover came from Ceet though. I finally took it for a ride tonight. Its a little finicky to start, and it gives a hellish snort out of the exhaust once every few kicks. Overall it rode ... more »

They make those 2 stroke scented candles. This would be the optimal time to fire one up

Oh yeah! Fully agree!

Well, there was 2011 too. His DV12 prepped YZ250 made 54HP. While Windham’s DNF was unusual, it wasn’t nearly as unusual as the #986 bike of Cedric Soubeyras who lined up for one of the early qualifier sessions. What made the MotoConcepts rider ... more »

The interest is obviously there, but they are just too expensive. Couple that with a segment the most everyone was sitting around and waiting to see if something like this would happen or not, and there is your answer. I signed up for some demo days, ... more »

I would rebuild it.

Thanks for that. I did notice some slide wear. Not insane, but noticable. And I did buy new cables. One thing I forgot about is the reeds were long in the tooth with a tiny chip on one of the corners. I suppose that is not helping. My plan is to keep ... more »

Any 500R guru's feel free to comment on how this bike revs in the video. It sounds like the rpms hang a bit to me. I didn't have a lot of fuel in the tank, and also this bike has a sizeable flywheel weight, so I'm not sure how it should sound, but it ... more »

Once you attach the star gear thingy to the drum, you will be able to use it to find neutral since there is an obvious detent. Not that I think it really matters though. I don't know what would prevent you from assembling it with any of the gears engaged. ... more »

I concur on the yellow frame. It's hard to pull that off. I tried a white frame a long time ago and had little hope of it looking good, but ended up liking it quite a bit:

We've got a two car garage with one side that sticks out 10 feet longer. This is where I do most of my work.

Very nice looking. I like the graphics and color combo. How does it run?

Its 99% done now. I need a chain roller and a few other minor things before I can ride it, but she started up and it held all its fluids.

Frame looks good for a rattle can. As for the trans, I usually install the trans in the stator side case. Then you can install the star gear thing to the shift drum and spin it around to make sure your gears are all engaging correcting (check the speed ... more »
