Can’t speak for the pancreas portion of Austin’s injury, but it’s totally realistic for 6-8 week full recovery after losing your spleen. Lost mine in 2009. I was back to work two weeks after surgery, and after a month or two I was back to %100 activities ... more »

Back in the day broome tioga was the best spectating of any national. You could see about %90 of the track from any one spot you went

High point is an honorable mention as well. Has a little bit of everything you’d want for a good day of spectating and good times

Budds creek has great viewing but the atmosphere and vibe isn’t anything like a red bud or unadilla. Southwick is really cool it’s in the middle of the suburbs which is unique and the tracks sick but the viewing is not good at all. Prolly the worst of ... more »

I think the 2020 motocross series is just going to have to be a shadow of its regular self and that really sucks. But in 2021 I believe the nationals and motocross as whole will be stronger than ever. During the pandemic so many people I know went and ... more »

Couldn’t disagree more. I’m not a political person by any means, but I’m very proud of how NY handled the pandemic. The governor drew a hard line right from the start and took no bullshit. Cuomo seems to genuinely care about the older generations health. ... more »

Actually NYC is no longer the epicenter. Florida, Texas, Arizona and the Carolinas now are the country’s hot spots. The NY governor just today ordered that any of those states with high rates of infection are to quarantine for 14 days if they come here. ... more »

Syracuse has the 2nd biggest mall in America. It’s still totally shutdown and no word yet when it will re-open. Parking lots sit empty for 3 months now and many of the stores inside likely to go belly up. Cuomo isn’t allowing much of anything to happen ... more »

Cause it’s a “local“... not a “national”

Added reply in a thread No Budds Creek this year 6/24/2020 3:38 PM

Having riders enter an event from all over the country is the difference. An amateur event mostly draws local racers, a “National” would be a totally different deal and the state won’t allow that to happen. NY’s state fair is a major event every year ... more »

Had my spleen removed in 2009. It’s not anything anyone wants to go thru. The surgery wasn’t too bad but the recovery sucked. And still makes me a little nervous when it comes to flu season and making sure i keep my immunity up

I don’t think Unadilla, southwick or high point will happen. The northeast has been really strict with covid precautions since the start and it’s not going to change this summer. Even with no fans allowed I don’t see NY, MA, or PA allowing a national ... more »

Also raced Cooperland RM cup in 1997 80 12-13 class. That track and facility was top notch. To this day it was the coolest track ever raced at. The dirt amazing and the track super fun. Off camber turns, big inside rollers, wall berms, and a couple tabletops ... more »

Early 90’s broome tioga is my earliest memory. Looking back and watching old nationals from there broome tioga was a great national. All of pros might not agree cause of the rocks and slippery dirt but the racing was always killer there. Plus being that ... more »
