WEY PULLS SEASON'S FIRST HOLESHOT AT TORONTO SX

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Dec. 4, 2006) – MDK Motorsports’ Nick Wey pulled the first $1,500 Progressive Direct Insurance Holeshot of the season, leading the field of the world’s best supercross racers – including Saturday’s overall winner Chad Reed, defending World SX GP champ James Stewart and defending AMA SX champ Ricky Carmichael - into the first turn at this past weekend’s opening round of the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium.Wey, riding the MDK-tuned Honda CRF450R, then put in a solid effort that was good enough for 6th overall on the evening.“MDK had my bike dialed-in perfectly, and it showed with that holeshot,” said Wey. “I made a couple minor mistakes that kept me out of the top five, but nothing that I can’t correct this weekend in Vancouver.”Next up for MDK’s Wey is Round Two of the 2007 World Supercross GP Championship at Vancouver’s B.C. Place Stadium (Dec. 9).Companies that have Wey’s back on this year’s supercross tours include: MDK Motorsports, MSR, Honda, Bell Helmets, Scott USA, Etnies and Xyience. For more information on Wey and the MDK Motorsports team, link to: www.mdkspeed.comCrown Athlete Management Group is the most comprehensive marketing, branding and athlete management firm focused on the future of action sports.
