Added reply in a thread Which 250F best suits a short dude 5/16/2019 12:35 PM

I’m a few inches taller but with short legs (pants with a 30” inseam are a bit long for me). There’s really no reason you can’t be comfortable on any of the bikes. I wouldn’t let seat height determine your purchase. The differences between them are pretty ... more »

"Reasonable" certainly is interpretive, and that's why it's appropriate to use when precision is not possible or not desirable for whatever reason (as is the case quite often, when crafting regulations, as it is very difficult to anticipate all of the ... more »

I assumed the "Do you want to fist fight bro?" was a joke. It had to be. I hope. Going back to the original comment that prompted this unusual response, the general point of it seems to be that due process is followed when they do what they have said ... more »

Added reply in a thread HARLEY DAVIDSON SPEAKS TO "DECLINING BIKE SALES”,BLAMING MILLENIALS. 5/8/2019 8:44 AM

I wouldn't make disparaging remarks to a Harley rider's face because it's generally rude to make disparaging remarks to anyone. Unfortunately, people often forget that on the internet. None of this should have anything to do with how "tough" someone ... more »

Often, a person needs to think outside the box if you can't find a job "in your field". I have a PhD in philosophy. I got that degree knowing full well that academic jobs were exceedingly scarce, but the graduate degrees were fully funded with scholarships, ... more »

A nice bit of nostalgia for those who yearn for the days before millenials when people were tough as nails and hard-working, with men being exemplars of rugged manliness.

Added reply in a thread Ktm 150sx vs husqvarna tc125 5/4/2019 9:28 AM

The Husky 125 makes the same amount of power as the KTM 125 because it’s the exact same engine. The 150 makes a bit more power, but some people prefer the 125 powerband. The 150 is a 125 with a big bore kit.

Is cornhole a real game in which a cornhole board is a thing - as opposed to "you're playing with your cornhole because you're bored"?

I think he’s saying that the YZ450 is sufficient to get you injured, not necessary. Not that I agree with that. But the way to refute his statement is to cite an example of someone riding a YZ450 and not getting injured rather than by citing an example ... more »

Added reply in a thread 2 Stroke Mixing Ratios Question 5/1/2019 11:02 AM

For a 125 32:1 is probably ideal. I sure as hell wouldn't go to 60:1. When I had a 125 and a 250 I just ran 40:1 in both with good results. Jetted right (or even better, with a Kehin carb) the TX 300 would be happy with 40:1.

Added reply in a thread Old guy wants to get back on the track, two stroke or four 4/29/2019 3:03 PM

A KTM xc (either 250 or 300) is a good vet bike if you want a little less hit but still like the idea of a 2 stroke. I had a 250 sx which completely wore me out (which I've since traded for a 350, which I love) and rode it back to back with a 300 and ... more »

Went into Walmart and asked where I could find some tranny fluid and the kid looked at me funny. It only got worse when I said I wanted to use it as lube. Strange.

They were white in Canada while they were yellow in the U.S. - so the U.S bikes were yellow in 84.
