It's the stem and the step height that's different. If you have an aftermarket set of clamps, you can have a machinist take a few mms off the step near the top of the stem so the top clamp sits down flush and will tighten up correctly. The Kawi team ... more »

Bell kind of canned that project after Flex came out. I was scanned for one and told they weren’t going to go forward with it afterwards.

The cut-off date is later in the Supercross season. When KTM races their FEs at A1, the bike don’t hit dealers for about another two months sometimes.

Actually to correct myself, AOS and SSS are different but one of them is the older system found on the first KYB twin cartridge forks that Yamaha equipped. The systems found on Yamaha and this RM-Z250 are basically the same system.

Because they contracted KYB for the RM-Z250 and in this case, it gets them away from using Showa's BFRC like on the 450 which was not a well excepted item in last year's Shootouts.
