Added reply in a thread What exactly does chain lube DO? 9/11/2020 2:08 PM

All this talk of dyno comparisons between chains is interesting, but are they of both clean and freshly lubricated chains? I could see a clean and freshly lubricated standard chain beating out an o- or x-ring chain on the dyno. But if they're representative ... more »

2 new Neken top clamps with bolts, $40 shipped? Paypal it to billywight@gmail.com and I'll ship them out USPS tomorrow.

Added reply in a thread Help identifying Neken SFS triple clamps 9/9/2020 10:42 AM

Our upper bar clamps won't fit the Neken lowers because of the bolt spacing, but I do have two of those Neken upper clamps if you need them. They're brand new too.

The stock offset in 2017 on the 450 was 25mm, but everything else was 22mm (aside from the 2-strokes). The clamps pictured are 22mm offset based on the part numbers. We'll have split yamaha clamps coming out relatively soon, but not ones with a SFS style ... more »

If they fit on a modern 450f, then they'll fit on your 19 250f. Both bikes use the same clamps, offset, tube diameter, etc.

Added reply in a thread Hands get fatigued quickly and painful - bars, grips? 9/7/2020 9:34 AM

The key point here is to torque the bolts correctly, not just loosen them up. If they're too tight, they'll cause binding as the bushings pass through. Too loose and your forks can slip, so torque them to spec, the lowers especially. Unless they're really ... more »

The last question isn't just specific to moto, it's an American problem. Richest country on Earth, yet we're willing to bankrupt people over an injury or accident, or disease through no fault of their own. The U.S. is the only rich nation which has a for-profit health care system. Until that changes, GoFundMe's and Ride2Recovery is...more

No, the fork tube clamp diameters are smaller on the two strokes. You could run a shim on the newer clamps, but your best bet is to get clamps that fit directly. We're working on some now, but they won't be available for a couple months.

Added reply in a thread Setting squish for pump vs. race gas 8/21/2020 7:43 AM

If you're just decking the head to decrease squish, or throwing a thicker gasket in to increase squish, then yes they both change the compression. But a lot of guys will cut the head to reduce squish AND increase the volume of the combustion area to ... more »

Ah, didn't realize that was you. But yes, two different covers, both custom engraved, and shipped to France, will get pricey.

Added reply in a thread WTB YZ250 2 strokes ignition and clutch covers 8/20/2020 5:02 PM

If you're just looking for a billet clutch cover, ours are quite a bit cheaper than Boyesen or Hinson; probably similar to what you'd pay for a used one. We also have ignition covers, but not in carbon. You can try Lightspeed, Legacy Carbon, or Motowhips ... more »

Thanks for the order, it went out yesterday! Regarding the stiffness question, that's actually a rather complex topic. Stiffness is a directional quantity. The real question is "are they stiffer, and in which direction(s)?" An ideal clamp is nearly completely ... more »

I have no idea. All the measurements I posted above are from various stock KTM clamps and the set of Xtrig Honda clamps I have here, so I can't comment on the Xtrig KTM clamps specifically.
