Here are some miscellaneous parts I’ve added to the bike: The brake tip needs to match the foot pegs, right? Pro-Pegs just happens to make one of those! It’s titanium, just like the foot pegs and available through Motostuff.

Added reply in a thread Does anyone know the size of the male threads on the air fitting that threads into the Neken SFS clamps? 9/21/2021 6:42 PM

It's a standard M8 x 1.25. Same as the bar clamp bolts.

Sorry, I missed the "1"! It's 0. 1 25 lbs. lighter. I've fixed the post now.

Hear are a few in-process shots of making the ultralight linkage race. The bearing race uses a machined aluminum carrier to position and hold the actual bearing races. This starts as some US made aluminum in our lathe:

It's worth mentioning that the WP shock pictured is just temporary until the MX-Tech National shock arrives!

The linkage arm we’ll use is our “standard” adjustable length arm that we’ve had for a while now. The arm allows length adjustments from 1mm shorter to 4mm longer than stock in 1mm increments. I’m a strong believer that there’s no such thing as a “performance

I sent out the swingarm for hard anodizing in black, just like we did with the KTM 150 build. Hard ano is far more resistant to scratching than powder coat or other coatings, so it’s the clear choice. The annoying part, though, is you need to remove

It's a little bit here, there, and everywhere. No magic part removes a ton of weight; it's the sum of a whole lot of parts losing a little weight.

I've never had a problem with the Renthal sprockets. They're made of 7075-T6, so it's not a cheap material or anything, but they'll wear out just like most other aluminum sprocket do. Keep things well lubed and it should last a good while. If you really ... more »

Added reply in a thread twinwalls on yz125 , tighten front bolt first or ? 9/15/2021 6:27 PM

The bottom bar clamp is offset (one side is 1mm taller than the other). Tightening the taller side until it touches creates a consistent 1mm gap on the other side. It's just easier and 100% more consistent than trying to make sure both sides have an ... more »

We just got everything in to put together the wheelset. As usual, Faster USA came through with a great set of wheels. Their hubs are awesome machined pieces with an extra bearing in back for more durability than the stock stuff. I wanted something that

Follow the Yamaha instructions. You should have no gap on one side that you tighten first, and a gap on the other that you tighten next.

First off, thanks to everyone above who recommended us, it’s awesome to see so much good feedback about our products! Twisting of the KTM/Husky stock bar mounts is a real issue for most riders. There are various aftermarket bar mounts available to fix ... more »

We're SLOWLY making progress on this. Back on page 6 I had sent the cases off to anodize and they came back ugly grey instead of black (castings sometimes do that, sometimes don't, so we took a chance). So I sent the engine cases, cylinder, head, and

It's not a bad way to get close. If you can stick the fork tubes in there, it will give you a positive stop for your rule to remove one source of error. Measure to the nearest tenth of a mm and try to use the same (light) pressure on the caliper all ... more »

I'm not familiar with the setup on those clamps, but the YZ250 uses the long steering stem (of the three Yamaha stem lengths), so I would assume you wouldn't need a spacer at all. Adding spacers to accommodate the stem lengths isn't a good idea anyway ... more »
