You definitely want to use a good anti-seize on titanium and aluminum fasteners. We provide a packet of anti-seize with all of our products that have titanium bolts and recommend Loctite C5-A. You can get a small tube for about $7 online. And you need ... more »

What do you mean by the stem turning inside the nut? Is the stem spinning in the triple clamp? If it is, then that's a serious problem. It should be pressed in tight and not spin at all.

Well we finally got around to anodizing the linkage arm race carriers and put them all together. We also brought laser etching in-house, so these were marked with our logo and part number to finish them off:

Here's a couple videos of the laser ... more »

Push it out with an arbor press and appropriate support. It should come out pretty easily.

With all that analysis, we ended up with a mount stronger AND lighter than our original Gen1 bar mounts. These ended up being only 31 g heavier than stock, which is not bad considering they're 300% stronger and a larger diameter to fit the FB36 bars!

Next up are some new bar mounts. We posted about the new Renthal Fatbar 36 bars earlier, but the mounts Renthal sells for these are pretty primitive. So we dove in and created an all-new bar mount design specifically for the Fatbar36. This became the ... more »

We've been BUSY the last few months designing new product. And some of this new product will be used on this bike, so let's go over what's new. First, some linkage updates. You've probably heard that SKF is making seals for the KTM/Husky linkages and

I didn't at all mean to imply that the stiffness of the front end isn't noticeable to riders, it absolutely is! My point was simply that the difference in stiffness of swapping a modern (e.g. large diameter) stock steel axle for a titanium axle of identical ... more »

Yamaha increased the contact area (diameter) of the wheel spacers to lug interface significantly in 2020 (maybe 2019, I forget), so that has a big effect on stiffness as it better reacts the bending moment. That might have something to do with it, but ... more »

If one fork leg is moving further into the stroke than the other, what is it doing to the axle? It puts it in bending and shear. How much is it bending or deforming in shear to the relatively minor force differential (which is speed dependent too)? Not ... more »

It depends on what direction/form of flex you're worried about. Are you worried about fork/wheel misalignment due to the flex of the axle? Or are you talking about the added flex of a titanium axle changing the feel to the rider at the bars? Or some ... more »

I doubt there's any appreciable difference to be felt. But I'm sure many will say they can feel a difference... The stiffness is actually coming from the fork lug - hub spacer - bearing - bearing spacer - bearing - hub spacer - fork lug path more so ... more »

That would be due to the rear linkage's oddball motion ratio curve. It's a pretty common complaint, which is why you see so many aftermarket KTM linkages available. Regarding the "floating" axle vs the stock style axle, it doesn't make any difference. ... more »

OK, I've got #1 and #2 (they can be separated). They're both brand new and coated, though, so if you're looking for a low price on these, then this won't be a good fit. But if you're looking for an upgrade, then it might be. $300 for the tube alone or
