Added reply in a thread Bar mounts to raise handlebars? HELP 10/2/2022 5:20 PM

Our bar mounts include a 5mm spacer that you can run on top of the clamps for +5mm over stock height, or under the clamps for stock bar height. You "can" add a spacer to the stock mounts, but it's meant to be a set length so the rubber cones get a consistent ... more »

Added reply in a thread Cr 125 triple clamp offset what’s best with 18 Crf fork swap 10/1/2022 10:56 AM

I don't recall what is what, but different year forks have different offset lugs, which is the same as running a different clamp offset. So make sure you match up whatever clamp offset you get with the lug offset to arrive at an overall offset that's ... more »

Made some good progress, just haven't made a post yet! It will be up in a day or two.

It depends on the particular rider and bike setup. Most of the time, it's the same as what's off the shelf. Sometimes the bar mounts are custom for a particular position or similar. But we're always tweaking things as we learn more and working on the ... more »

Alex did have stock clamps at Pala 2, but Marchbanks ran our clamps. We're testing some different things and stock is a good baseline to go against. All the WSX riders are running our clamps and I just had a conference call with Brandon and Jeremy a ... more »

Huh? Club MX is running our clamps.

There are more than one set of knobby tires in there, though not very aggressive looking like the bike in the back.

We hit a bit of a delay... Our office lease was up and a new spot opened up nearby that was a much better fit. So we moved locations somewhat unexpectedly. That slowed things down by about a month and a half as it took WAY longer than expected to get ... more »

I looked over the 23 450 at Pala. From the looks of things and a few quick measurements with my calipers, triple clamps will be the same. They removed the brake line guide as it's now integrated in the plastics, but otherwise the clamps look identical ... more »

Added reply in a thread Removing anadize from upper forks that were coated 9/12/2022 9:26 AM

You CAN remove the anodize, but the question is SHOULD you remove the anodize... Generally, the answer is no. You need the anodize surface for wear resistance and friction reduction on the inside of the tube. The right way to do it is to have it professionally ... more »

Added reply in a thread MXA article on '23 KTM/Husky linkage bearings 9/12/2022 9:22 AM

Loose needles have more load capacity than caged bearings, which is generally why they're used here. But, if the loose needle bearings are walking out, there's no reason why caged needle bearings wouldn't also walk out. It sounds like the knuckles were ... more »

Most modern laptops $350 or more will be adequate for CAD work from a memory and RAM standpoint, but will fail miserably in the graphics department. The vast majority of SolidWorks crashes are caused by graphics issues, and the best way around that is ... more »

Fork uppers are generally some sort of 7000 series aluminum, in either T6XXX or T7XXX tempers. No heat treatment after machining. Stiffness is essentially the same across the board for all 7000 series alloys. Strength varies slightly between alloys and ... more »

Added reply in a thread Triple clamp offset KTM -23 9/3/2022 12:37 PM

Potentially, we're testing some different things now. If another offset makes sense, then we'll offer it. But no sense offering offsets that don't work well!

Added reply in a thread Triple clamp offset KTM -23 9/2/2022 4:45 PM

As others mentioned, triple clamp offset doesn't have much to do with calming down harsh braking bumps or sharp edges. Triple clamp design will have some effect on that (notably split lower clamps), but it mostly comes down to suspension setup. I'm seeing ... more »

Added reply in a thread Uber in and out of Pala viable? 9/2/2022 4:38 PM

Correct. I'd think that whatever people drive around on the dirt road and parking lot at the track can also handle Lilac. It wasn't bad last I took it a year ago.

Added reply in a thread Uber in and out of Pala viable? 9/2/2022 1:46 PM

You can make your first left after leaving the track and take Lilac road through Lilac and get back on the 15 that way. It takes longer than the 76 when there's no traffic, but with bad traffic it will be faster.

Added reply in a thread Transmission parts coating or polishing 9/1/2022 3:51 PM

This is really the proper method. REM polishing can help somewhat by removing burrs and other imperfections, but so will WPC and it allows for oil to better stick to the surfaces of everything, which is really what will increase performance.
