Robb - if you are in Ft. Wayne, make the quick drive to Bremen, IN to Bellman Oil. You should get a better price than that.

Are you sure you have the timing set correctly? And cam chain adjuster reset when reinstalled?

You can order OEM replacements and would be exact colors. EDIT: the links don’t go the the exact page...but select Fender and Side Cover in the schematic selection and you can order the OEM blue items. https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/7 ... more »

Both 2000 and 2001 had the white airbox. I remember reading in a magazine test that it was claimed the intake air was several degrees cooler in the white airbox vs. the black one. That didn’t last long, did it? OP- nice bike, great job.

Not 100% sure on interchangeable years, but I would think 1996-2001 at a minimum for a starting point. I also did a quick eBay search and found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-97-Yamaha-YZ125-YZ-125-Rear-Monoshock-Mono-Shock-Suspension-Dampener-/143967070518?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 ... more »

New thread I loved the 1996 YZ’s 3/12/2021 9:38 PM

As the title says, I’ve always loved the 1996 YZ’s. I remember going into the Yamaha shop as a kid back then and seeing these and being in awe. So as my yearly refresher was coming up, I decided to do a little tribute to the 96. This is my 03 125. Finally

Reply to Pro X clutch kits? 3/9/2021 4:14 AM

I recently put one in my YZ125, and it’s performing very well- beyond expectations. I was surprised at the fairly stiff pull at the lever. I wouldn’t have guessed the springs to be much different than OEM, but it’s holding up great, and the springs must ... more »

New thread Yamalube 2 stroke trans oil. Anyone using? 3/5/2021 6:11 PM

Is anyone else using this oil in their 2 stroke clutch/trans? I purchased some to switch from the Yamalube 10-40 standard engine oil I’d been using. Just looking for any review really as far as clutch performance, etc.
