Hi guys, some of you may recall me posting about the build I did in this bike over the winter. Anyway, it’s a 2003 YZ125 near barn find. I’m doing a preventative top end right now, and this piston in the photos is one I installed approx 15 hours ago

That’s great to hear. I have already picked up Some yamalube and will be running that from here forward. I appreciate the insight.
I second the DZ2 chain. Good quality and reasonable pricing.
Agreed. I’ve since settled on non oxy fuel. After further discussion with others, I’ll also be switching oils back to Yamalube 2R and going from a 410 to a 430 main this week, needle in 2nd clip....I’ll riches things up and keep my eyes on it. Thanks ... more »
Thanks Dan - I do ride sand quite a bit and have the bike under quite a load. I run VP 110 leaded fuel with Klotz R50 at 32:1. I will say, I was running Yamalube 2R for the first 8 hours or so of operation on this motor, and switched back to Klotz, as ... more »
32:1 ratio and Twin Air filters.
Dan- here is a photo underside of the piston. It’s caramel colored. The ring is sticky in the groove...not very free moving at all. Hard to believe dirt got in with as religious at filters as I am, but anything is possible, and could have come in somewhere....when
Here is a photo of the cylinder head. Has a little build up on the front half... and the plug is more white than tan.

My 4 year old son Vincent (and my wife) made Collin a card this morning and will be mailing it out . Vincent had his own bout with surgery and the NICU as a new born, and that was beyond difficult. He’s healthy and recovered, and we know Collin will

Hi guys, a friend dropped of his 2017 350sx and his new 19 350sx for me to go through. He’s asking to have the suspension swapped from the older bike to the newer one. At quick glance, the rear shock reservoir is larger and extends a few inches lower ... more »

Gauging interest into the sale of my 2017 YZ250F. I purchased the bike new as a leftover model in July of 2018. Oil and air filter changes every ride using only TwinAir air filters and Yamalube oil. OEM replacement parts at 20 hours simply for preventative

This year I’ve got a 2003 YZ125 I just finished...has not been started yet. Then there is the 2000 YZ125 I refurbished My ‘17 YZ250F, and my sons PW50. Hoping he finally will want to ride this year with me! Looking forward to a great year.
This. I have a ‘17 YZ250F I bought new in ‘18 for a great deal, then have a couple older 125s I’ve built to wrench/ride for fun. And if you do anything at all, work on yourself-physical shape, and your suspension. I won a state championship on a stock’14 ... more »
Here are a few pictures of how I've ended up so far. I finally got things together yesterday. I did the 2000/2004 power valve spring swap, and man - the spring from the 2000/2004 is noticeably stiffer, and you can even see the spring diameter is larger.
It’s starting to happen. The UPS guy is getting to be quite the regular. Thanks to Pro-Action of Michiana. And my wife for being cool that I started a bit of the reassembly tonight.
The new cylinder is only about $360, while I found repair ranging from $200-$350 before any shipping costs. I’ll still plan to have this one repaired tho and have as an extra or and as you mentioned, research anything else such as porting to have done ... more »
Pulled out power valve assembly and studs today, and I’ve decided on a new OEM cylinder. I’ll order that up tomorrow and still likely send this one off to be fixed and have a spare if ever needed. Also straightened a few out of place fins one one radiator,
Sounds good, and I’ll plan to do that. If I order a new OEM cylinder, I’d imagine I could choose the sizing? A,B, etc? I’ll get the info from Millennium Monday. I appreciate the info and input from you guys. Thank you.
