That last one, has a creative mind made it, or has it actually been riden? Thought these graphics where only on plastics from 1995 on...
I made a wooden clamp to put it in the vise. The cartridge kept rotating a bit, but I hit the wrench instead of pulling it. That caused enough impact to loosen the thread after heating. Don't you just need to heat more and try it that way?
Note that your flow is not 33% more. The diameter is, but the area increased much more.. pi * r 2 = 3,14 * 1 * 1 =3,14 square mm whereas 3,14 * 1,5 * 1,5 = 7 square mm. So the flow is more than doubled. What is the reason for that 17x0,15 shim, anyone ... more »
I'll show the picture of that drilling here.
Yeah just open it. I have another threat about this topic, in which I'll show what slipdog means. When you're drilling the tube and watch closely, you can see when you're through. Loctite was applied to my threat, so a couple seconds heating was required ... more »
Actually this translation is incomplete. In the Dutch version it says: Compression damping (Right leg, top adjuster) >affects entire stroke Turn open when the fork feels harsh at short hard bumps Compression damping (Right leg, bottom adjuster) >affects ... more »
Damn, it appears to be a mod done by a suspension tuner to make it more adjustable. See image. Unfortunately they didn't have time to look into it at the moment, so let's continue the research
Thanks. Althoug I have to watch The European eBay
Seems we've sorted this entirely now! Will try a call to some brands anyways later.
Mmm, ok, but what does it comprehense technically ? Would better have bought a newer model fork instead of this complete overhaul then. Because it will be hard to find that cartridge as a single part. Must have been someone smart, one wouldn't destroy ... more »
Damn true. When googling the number you'll land onto crf pages! I'll try to call a brand to see if they confirm
That's correct. I have an 88 engine with later alloy water pump housing and then The 90-91 clutch fits. But what is The difference with clutches of 92 and later?
Or might this be the reason that left and right are valved differently? Just finished making them equal. Now start to assembly everything again.
Do the clutch baskets after 91 also fit? Aftermarket clutches go up to 91 and then from 92 to 2000 somewhere. What's the difference? Good to know, because there's much more available for these years...
So do you think the picture is larger than the ims 3.2g?
That's The onlu picture i found, don't even know The size and brand of that one. I have a 125cc, looks bulky quite fast
Is the 3.2gallon model like this one or less bulky?
Would like to see a picture too. No one has?
Slipdog thanks a lot!!!. I'll try to get the missing shims and reassemble it. Will post it for later usage by others. Also the shortening. That came out nicely. Thanks once again.
It's midnight where I live. I still be awake for a while, but if more convenient for you we'll continue tomorrow
