Leaking head gasket. Getting compression leaking into the water jacket and also coolant into the crankcase (oil galleys, cam chain tunnel. This might explain the overpressure in the crankcase causing oil to push out the breather.

Euro style. They are very common over there. Many people have them on their car and then just have a small utility trailer for when they need to haul something since pickups trucks aren't common like in the US.

Got my arm cored like an apple when a CR250 landed on it, tip first. Also seen people crash, get up and bike would not start because the tip was clogged solid with dirt and no amount of finger poking was going to get it out.

Does the spec sheet list the squish, head volume cc, and compression psi? If not, I would consider measuring the squish and compression and try to make a determination if you really need that much octane. I've seen a few times before where builders have ... more »

Yeahh... roll offs and retained tear offs are so much better for the environment. Because instead of discarding plastic on the track I am discarding it in a trash can/landfill or somewhere else on earth.

Yep using stock yellow spring. Different colored springs are another whole variable in the equation I have not played with yet.

I kind of look at it from another way. With the jetting being crisper/leaner, the rpm's ramp up faster. Since the PV opens on a centrifugal system and not a direct 1:1 connection, it cannot open at the exact same rpm. So, 3.5 turns was good for the stock

My bet, your issue is grit/dirt inside the throttle grip tube and housing. Or maybe the end of the plastic tube is crushed/cracked from crashing or some grip glue found its way in there. Take that all apart and clean it out good and try that.

First guess, something is messed up with your rings and you're getting compression blowby that is over pressurizing your crankcase.

If it's only happening on your Suzuki, all things being equal, then yeah it sounds like a mechanical leak somewhere, not through the filter. in other words, if another bike has it's filter prepped the exact same way and is ridden in the same conditions ... more »
