2016 they had a lot of rain before the races but the sand just binds like you say.

They should have put him in the open class where the races are back to back so he could use his stamina.

To be fair the last time he raced Assen in 2015 he finished 11th overall in the MXGP class.

Yep Nathan Watson's got the goods, just hope he can deliver in a 35 minute race. Look at the way he rails this berm. It must be so much fun being that good. https://twitter.com/i/status/1170123478676041728

I only hope Kawasaki are taking note and realise what a bunch of dicks they are for staying at home to save a few cents.

Me too. I guess you just don't get it.

I'm not sure this is a good analysis. When you say 4 of the top 5 MXGP guys will be there, the likes of Febvre, Cairoli and Desalle, who would clearly normally be top 5 weren't BECAUSE they were injured. The top guys at the end of any season will necessarily ... more »

I'm sure he will be good but maybe not from the get go.. Look at how other MX2 champs like Herlings and Jonas needed half a season to start getting decent results on the 450s.

Jacobi rides Kawasaki and he's out injured so isn't riding for Team Germany.

I wouldn't say Team USA were gutted with injuries but it's true of the others.

Nathan Watson should have been on the team anyway in my view, he's one of the best sand riders out there but I don't know why he's riding MXGP and Simpson Open as it should be the other way round. With his proven stamina winning long beach races Watson ... more »

I think pretty much all MXoN riders pit in their respective manufactures' rigs rather than by national team, for convenience of mechanics & spares etc. If Team USA pitted in a Husky rig I doubt Justin Cooper would find too many Yamaha parts in it. ... more »

For fear of going off topic, you've neatly identified a case in point. The referendum to leave the EU was a bit like your 2nd amendment - giving too much power to the people on extremely large & complex issues. In this case the decision to leave ... more »

With respect I think you've lost the plot if you think that what happened in Cambodia is comparable to perceived corruption in the FBI and that somehow it justifies arming an entire nation regardless of the misery it's clearly causing. The problem is ... more »
