Considering how the moto scene has responded to neck braces I'm not sure anyone really cares. I think you're completely right but this sport just doesn't care about safety improvements in any serious or systematic way, I wish I was wrong. As far as pro ... more »

Fuel rule makes more sense IMO. 100 octane like in the Japanese series to limit engine costs.

Started watching the Whiskey Throttle Show with Mitch Payton and the producer interrupts and interjects every 30 seconds. It's almost unwatchable.

No 250 stokes for 250sx is fine but 250 2 strokes need to be allowed for the 250 national class. How many under supported but extremely talented guys could make a name for themselves on the right day on the right track but never will because they wouldn't ... more »

Reply to Power-difference between 2T 250cc engines/generations? 11/19/2020 9:58 AM

3.5 - 4 is about 5 and the other Japanese 2 strokes are worse stock than the YZ, making it about a 5hp difference... It's a rough estimate but the point is the newer bikes are always going to be better. Nostalgia gets in the way for too many.

Anyone ever use the lightspeed skid plate for late model yamahas? I'm in the market for one and was interested in reviews/feedback of them.

I'm 6'2" 190 lbs. 2018 RMZ450 and 2018 KTM 250SX were my most recent bikes. What I like most about the Yamaha is how planted the front end feels along with the comfort from the chassis and suspension. It's a feel I never have gotten from the other bikes ... more »
